Norm!
I read that there is a lego animation toolkit out there. There's a very cool piece of animation software called blockworks

I don't think LDD does animation other than in a "printscreen, change, printscreen" kind of way.
I'm thinking of something like Blender meets LDD.

I think that's what Lego Digital Design does, you build your models and then animate them and save the animation.
That's how I understood it when I looked at some youtube videos. I also think you can download pre built models as well.

Not from what I can find in the manual or from the LDD animation videos, they all basically emulate stop frame animation and the animating is done outside LDD (i.e. putting together a bunch of screenshots).

The Sea Cow being released next month. Looks very Steam Punk, may need to get it for Mrs. Ironhorse.

Wow. And the article says that the piece doesn't even contain more than an ounce of gold.

After going back and forth for a few months on it, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Super Star Destroyer. Man, building that was a lot of fun! Took about 14-15 hours (I was in no hurry, and had a couple days to kill).
Might be getting myself hooked back on LEGO again...
