Default Electrician Help

I'm looking at purchasing a ceiling light fixture from Europe that is 220-240V. I know that here we have 110V.

Coming from a complete amateur on electrician related stuff, albeit handy enough I could figure it out if told or shown how, is it possible to install said fixture here?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It can be done but you need to use some adapters. You would need to use E12 to E14 adaptor to use North American bulbs in a European light fixture. Or use an E14 14mm Led bulb which has a power range of 85-265 volts and fits the Europoean socket.

I would call a lighting store as there may be better ways to do it and they would have far more experience than me. Looked into this myself once and the above was the info I found related to it. I never did purchase the light fixture in question so never got a chance to try it out.

Won't have CSA or UL/ULc rating, but yes, technically possible.

I hope you plan on installing it yourself, because any good electrician would refuse to install anything without CSA/UL certifications. However, it is possible to get it CSA'd there's just a process that it needs to go through. There is several lighting stores in town that could probably sell you adapter for the bulbs as said above, you will just have to check around
