What a 3rd period by the Flames. The dome was rocking in the last 10.

Got to love Backlund. Always so genuinely excited and happy for others.

Give this guy the "A" full time, deserves it. Seems like a big time leader on the team.

I'm still hoping someone makes a GIF of that hug...please AC

First line 5-on-5, first powerplay unit, first penalty kill unit, second on the team in blocked shots, first on the team in hugs...

On the verge of not just meeting but exceeding draft expectations.

Well the kids are at it again tonight. Monahan, Colborne, Granlund and Byron played well again tonight. Big improvement from Backlund, Byron and even Butler lately. Nice to see Wotherspoon playing and wasn't out of place. He played 11 minutes tonight with +1. I don't even think SOB, Breen or Smith ever played that much minutes this season. Ortio is so cool out there and I am sure he took home the goal post tonight. How many times did the Islanders hit the goal post tonight? Like they said you have to be lucky to be good. Aside from the 2nd period, Flames was all over the Islanders. Gio made some mistakes tonight but at the end, he bounced back. Brodie, Backlund and Bouma, wow the way these guys plays lately I am looking forward in the next season. Really enjoy watching the energy of young guys. Feel bad for Corban Knight with less minutes tonight. I would have love to see him play more but I guess the other 3 lines deserved the minutes they got.
I am looking forward watching tomorrow night's game against Luuuuuuuu less Canuckleheads.

Awesome win! now that's what I call something special.

Are all of these young bucks signed or at the least RFAs? does the new CBA allow the 10% raise and you retain the rights for RFAs?

Just checked on capgeek

Pending RFAs are Galiardi, Hanowski, Byron, Colborne, Bouma, and Ortio.

Nice to see that our young guns are playing really well. What comes to Markus Granlund - I think that he´s playing style suites better in NA rink than Europe. Really exiting to see what kind of team Flames are in 2015-2016 season - playoffs

After watching that gio to colborne goal 30 times. Either Go was trying to pass it to colborne and he missed it and it bounced back or Gio missed the net on purpose.Cooborne did not scramble. He tracked the puck calmly and remained in the same spot as he did his 180. Or Go just missed and Colborne just was at the right place at the right time.

I think Gio was going for the deflection, Joe thought it was a shot, either way it worked out the way both planned it.

And how great is it when your Captain has an off night and still manages to get 2 points and contributes to a comeback win... Loving this team

One thing I really noticed is even though hanowski had a turn over that lead to a goal is that as soon as he made a bad pass he made it his mission to get the puck back I know that a perfect player would not make that turnover but the effort to make up for it is what this team needs

I can't help but get the vibe that everyone in this organization is having fun right now, players, coaches etc. Seems as though we are building a solid foundation.

Picked the wrong night to have to go to bed early and missed one helluva nice come back. Have to love the PVR!

It might have been the whole honor Nieuwendyk thing, but I can't help but look at numbers 8 and 23 and see a lot of Niewendyk in those two players. Monahan has developed into a great young player, but that was expected. Colborne has really surprised and become a very good player in his own right. He needs some work in the defensive zone, but he's become a real threat in the other two zones. This collection of young kids is a team I can get behind. A lot of skill out there and no quit. These guys play for each other and it shows. They may not have the supposed uber skill of those special kids up the highway, but I like these guys better. They play hard in all zones and make you believe they're always in the game. Next year is going to be fun!

I am a huge fan of the Colborne knee-up, arm-pump goal celebration. Patience is beginning to pay off with this big talented kid. There was a reason he was a first rounder and it's just coming into focus now. He is going to be one of those quietly very good players that will not get a lot of outside attention but that fans grow to love.
