Compare that to Monahan who had 78 points in 58 games (1.34 points/game).

Virtanen plays on a great team (is only 3rd on his team in terms of points).
Draisaitl has 28 more points than than next closest player on his team.

Not fair to even compare Draisaitl to Virtanen. They're in different tiers of prospects.

One's a guy who may be a top 5 pick. Another's a guy that probably should be a mid to late 1st rounder but may be reached for by a team due to a weak draft year and his size and raw skill. Plus he gets overrated by many here because he plays for the local team.

yeah Draisaitl would be 4 for me, over Dal Colle because he's a center.

Do not want Draisaitl.. don't think he is a good fit with the Flames... he has great offensive skill but lacks defensively awareness and intensity. He's a great pick outside the top 5 though.

I would love to somehow end up with Reinhart this year and then win the lottery next year and get a McDavid or Eichel. Then we could have an embarrassing set of riches up the middle like the Avalanche and LA.

if we get any of Ekblad, Reinhart, Bennett which might be extremely possible now that florida has figured out their goaltending situation and we're injury riddled i'll be extremely happy.

Yeah, if Luongo can sort out their goaltending, they might end up with a lower pick than us. Getting another great forward would be awesome for us.

I just don't see Buffalo passing on Reinhart though. Only way that happens is if they lose the lottery to anyone other than Edmonton. Maybe it's just me but I'm settling into the idea of Bennet or Draisaitl. Really does seems thats where we will be on draft day.

Because I'd kill for Ekblad but I'm finding myself getting equally as pumped for Bennett with Draisaitl being the consolation prize.

SydneyCrosby'sHat was alluding to a team high up having Draisaitl ahead of the other two forwards. So if it's Buffalo, and we're in 3rd pick, Reinhart likely is ours because Edmonton takes Ekblad most likely.

Could be FLA, heck even Calgary as well. I would LMAO if it was Edmonton. Draft day will be riveting.

Don't look now but much like last season the Hurricanes and Predators are starting to loose games at an alarming rate late into the season. There is going to be a lot of competition to pick top 5 again this season and I'm not convinced the Flames will pick top 5 as the four teams behind them have been much worse of late and are trending down while I expect the Flames to maintain a clip near .500 while the Preds and Hurricanes continue at .350 pace.
