I'll never get tired of Hartley quotes.

I can't see the Islanders winning this game as if anyone watched last night's game against they play a very Oileresque (zero defense) variety of hockey.

Wideman injury sounds somewhat long term. Hudler won't play this weekend, but sounds shorter term. #Flames

Pat Steinberg ‏@Fan960Steinberg 1h
He's wearing 56. RT @NickVeddy What's Wotherspoon's jersey number? #Flames

I'll complain about how silly I think Forever a Flame is, but today I'll stfu about it and happily honour one of the best to wear the Flaming C. Congrats Joe!

Nieuwendyk held out from the Flames when he had a valid contract to force a trade and personally I'll never forgive him for that. I sold this game off so that I won't have to be there for his stupid ceremony.

Glad it's just a Forever a Flame and not a jersey retirement at least. I hope a long string of forgettable players where #25 for many years to come. Or even better, a future superstar wears it and eventually has it retired and nobody ever associates the number with Nieuwendyk again.

Hopefully the guys who are playing tonight put on a good show. I'm looking forward to tuning in at home (after the ceremony) and seeing the boys in the retro jerseys.

Go Flames Go!

Has anyone heard which of Nieuwendyk's old team mates are in town for the ceremony? It would be great if Loob finally made it to one of these.

I look forward to seeing Wotherspoon out there. I have a lot of faith in our young talent, and I'm really glad that we are finally giving some of these guys a shot.

These kids are going to steamroll those isles tonight. The energy they bring again overwhelms the opposition.

Tomorrow though, Markstrom is going to ruin our day. I sense it.

If Torts doesn't bite on Hartley sending out the McGrats line again - which I hope to the hockey gods he does - I say let McGrats run Markstrom. Repeatedly, until Torts pops his top - at which point he sends out his goon line and we send out our scoring line with all the little guys, who don't fall for the bait and score on them.

If the bruiser line wants to pick a fight with the kids - lots of suspensions and board hearings involved in that one. Win by landslide score after the Canucks team falls flat.

That would be perfect! Torts would probably get suspended again

I'm pleased with the results of what happened the last time between the 2 coaches but hope that chapter is over. The NHL and even the whole hockey world is going to be watching how that rematch goes. It's playing with fire with that franchise, before you know it you get Cooked, Bertuzzied, Ruutued, Sestisoed, Kassianed, etc.

Especially when it's the 10 year anniversary of Bertuzzi/Moore on Saturday.
