Like I posted in the GT, Imagine Byron with Poirier.....I really hope they sign him for a couple of years. Kids got a ton of spark.

Ortio has things to work on. He showed a slight bit of emotion after he let in the lone goal, his head sunk just a tad. It was a little too Swedish of him.

Heat just tied their game 3-3 in the 3rd, great night of hockey.

No wonder the Heat are doing so well! Reinhart and Granlund look to have some great chemistry together. Byron with his best game as a Flame. Knight dominating on the faceoffs. Ortio playing like Kipper-lite. 7 players drafted by the Flames in the lineup? Unheard of. I'll take wins like this over tank-talk any day of the week.

What a fun game to watch,

- Ortio = Kipper 2.0 ? He looked great
- Bouma - can't say enough about this guy... unsung hero. Like a Stephane Yelle out there. Big, solid, tough.... love it
- Granlund - providing lots of punch. That play with Reinhart, I hope to see that for years to come. (I hope)
- Cammalleri - played great IMO... wouldn't mind seeing back. I get that he sunk his value this year, but I still like him and he still brings value
- Monohan - what can you say? He's like a vet out there
- Backlund - not much to say, just want to stick it to Where r u Chris OSullivan
- Byron - love the way he plays the game. He's tiny though....
- McGratton - not just a goon, he's a hockey player out there. Love having him on this team. Bet he's a leader, and it looks like he enjoys being here. Keep him here.

Not sure if been posted but tonight the a Flames had:
9 forwards 25 or under
4 Dmen under 30
Starting goalie was 22

Very young team tonight and they looked great out there

Great game by the flames! Especially all the kids... Colborne, Reinhart, granlund, Monahan, knight, and Byron were awesome. Gio, russell, Brodie, and Smid were great too. I was glad to see cammalleri score a nice goal too. Keep it going guys!

110% agree! Think I said it at least 3 or 4 times but McGrattan is great when he plays with some young kids and actually plays hockey. Turns out he's pretty good at it Even had some PP time, and a almost netted one on the PP.
I bet he gets a goal in the next few games. Hopefully against Vancouver.

Also noticed he was the first to step out onto the ice after Gio and Ortio at the start and after intermissions.

Do you happen to know the average age?

I can just see Kipper smiling right now with the way his countryman played in goal tonight. Is this the first time Calgary won in regulation period with their 3rd jersey? I guess the 3rd jersey is not really a bad luck... I think it was Reto Berra whenever they wear their 3rd jersey.

The game tonight reminds me of their energized game when Flames started playing some young guys late last season. Good game by Granlund, Knight, Reinhart, Monahan and Byron. Okay I might get in trouble here for saying Chris Butler is much improved since he started playing with Russell. He doesn't make a little mistakes lately and he's been feisty and always willing to step in. Paul Byron I am very impressed. He's been using his speed and he's always there to help out the defense. Loving the improvement of the young guys. Good win tonight, it sucks that Ortio lost the shutout bid on a flukey goal.

I'm with you on that OzSome. Thought Butler's been having some good games for the last few weeks and tonight he looked great.

Monahan, Backlund, AND Knight all go 50% or better in the dot tonight?
