At least it's temporary. He'll sit on the bench for Ortio until Ramo gets back, then Mac goes back to Abby and eventually doesn't get resigned this off season. Big 'meh' from me. Don't like losing Berra though

Hopefully we have Ortio starting every game until Ramo's back. No sense in letting Mac have TOI unless Ortio is getting shelled or fatigued.

The future is now with Ortio and Ramo, I guess that Berra didn't show enough consistancy for the Flames to look at offering him a deal.
I also wonder if the Flames are banking on Gilles making the jump this year?

Once Ramo is back, I think Mac is staying to backup Ramo.
Makes sense for Ortio to go back to Abby and further his development.

If that is the case, I would guess Ortio will go down when Ramo returns. No sense having him sit on the bench when MacDonald can do the same.
In the meantime Ortio can get some experience.

Yep. We now know that Berra wasn't going to receive a contract offer from the Flames after the season. Not surprised as I figured Burke would have a hand in the goaltending situation.
