If you are an NHLer with a modified NTC what teams are on your no-trade list?
7 seems to be a common number...
Edmonton - obvious
Columbus - boring team, boring city, lucky to be moved out of a difficult western conference
Buffalo - going to suck for a long time
Winnipeg - would gladly be a Jet but don't overly want to live there
New Jersey - this team is old and they don't have much help coming, and I've never forgiven them for revolutionizing the trap and playing snooze-fest hockey
Phoenix - same thing as NJ in I hate the way they play and I hate that they even have a team there still, it will fail for 5 more years before they finally give up on Glendale
Nashville - unless they trade Weber or Jones I don't think they will ever have a balanced team, they lack offensive forwards and will likely tread water, like they have been, and never address needs
What is your list?

I hate you for using the Flames logo in the thread prefix

There's no way to answer that without knowing a player's situation. Location, a chance to play, and chance of winning are all important factors and every player is going to have different priorities.

I would be ecstatic to play for either Calgary or Edmonton considering I've spent the majority of my life in this province.

Yeah, how dare you post a hypothetical question for the sake of entertainment. This board is for serious business only!

All good, not serious anyway. Its just right after Cammalleri is linked to multiple teams I'd be real careful on using the Flames logo or anywhere in the thread title is all...

Toronto - team will never amount to anything before needing a rebuild again
Vancouver - always hated diving practice
Edmonton - don't want to have to turn into a lazy pansy to fit in
Phoenix - do I rent or own? Trap hockey is no fun
San Jose - always the bridesmaid
Pittsburgh - they've peaked, plus they won't win anything anymore with Fleury in net
NY Rangers - am I a star player late in my career looking for a coin flip 7 game series against the Caps and then going nowhere
Honorable Mention
Washington - am I a banging depth player looking for a coin flip 7 game series against the Rangers and then going nowhere

Edmonton-Terrible weather. Possibly the worst run organization ever. Major permasuck.
Buffalo-Bad weather and bad hockey
Calgary-The same. We're not a good team and it's cold.
Vancouver-Look no further than how they treated Luongo. #### the nucks.
Florida-Permasuck
Columbus-Permasuck with less beaches
Predators-I think a lot of you underestimate how much it would suck to live in the south, unless country music is really your thing.

Teams that just don't seem like hockey markets or that just have management with no precedent of turning things around:
columbus
nashville
florida
nyi
carolina
edmonton
at this stage, players likely put calgary on this list.

Pittsburgh's major assets are all under 27, they have massive trading pieces they will contend for years ahead....
Well played on the NYR, WSH front.

Edmonton - Sweatpants aren't my style.
Vancouver - All their fans smell like cigarettes.
Buffalo - Not going to be good for a while.
Winnipeg - Fan support has been good, but I'd hate to live there.
Nashville - Country music.
Carolina - Who pays attention to Carolina?
Columbus - Boring city.

I believe in the Jays.

Montreal (because of taxes), Winnipeg (because of Winnipeg), Nashville (to budget concious)... That's pretty much it.

Buffalo Sabres - Buffalo isn't terribly exciting.
Edmonton Oilers - Not a fan of the city.
Vancouver Canucks - No explanation required.
Columbus Blue Jackets - Bleh, Columbus.
Detroit Red Wings - Detroit itself sucks, and the team appears to be on the decline.
Winnipeg Jets - I was born and raised in Winnipeg. No thanks.
Carolina Hurricanes - Meh.

San Jose, New York and Pittsburgh would be pretty good options imo. San Jose and Pittsburgh are still perfectly capable of winning and New York would be an incredible place to play some hockey.
