Definitely not. That was a serious whack to the back of the knee, a very sensitive area that's not well padded.

Boy the powerplay needs work. They never really even threatened on that 5 on 3.

Came in to say that as a commentator I couldn't despise
Healy anymore if I tried. He has such a oiler woody tonight I can't keep the vomit from coming out.

For all the detailed practices the Flames hold, willing to bet they NEVER practice 5 on 3s.

Players aren't even going to the right spots on the ice. No movement. Defensemen don't close in. It's pathetic. They make it easy for penalty killers.

Odd question: Why does David Jones have the 'D.' on the nameplate of his jersey? Is it just easier than switching back and forth when Blair gets his rare call-up?

Should have been 4 minutes IMO as that was a baseball bat swing. Those ones are dangerous.

Backlund didn't dive. That was a two-handed slash on the back of his knee. Hurts like hell. Ference needs to have the riot act performed on him.

That was a brutal 5-on-3. A chance to step on the Oilers throat and they do nothing with it. This is the battle of two of the worst teams in the league.

I was thinking the same thing. Probably hurts like hell but man up! Smid took a shot off the ribs and got up fine.

Also, you know the Oilers have a horrible collection of defensive defencemen when they use 2 forwards on a 5-on-3 PK.
