So what you're saying is I need to get my paragons up before heading into torment...
Kind of hoping I can rock out in Master for a bit then.

There are some really nice updates in this patch I'm reading over. FINALLY, high end drops will have stats appropriate to class. Cannot tell you how many times I cried a little after getting a nice drop only to find that the stats were totally useless to my characters.
I always managed to get heavy intelligence stats on my drops when I wanted STR or DEX drops. Thank the gods for that changed.

Ya that's the biggest change that I love. Had 2 legendary weapon drops for my Monk and both were huge upgrades because the stats made sense. In all my time playing D3 before never had I found a legendary that my class could actually use, they were always auction house fodder before

If you could do MP5, you can do Torrent 1 at least. Start there....
As for the update, they took the nerf bat to WW Barbs, CM wizards and Archon wizards (which I am was one.) Also dropped the poison hydra from the wizards spells, BUT, they brought back the long lost Frozen Orb from D2... or close enough to call it that.
Level 60 legendaries and set items CANNOT be traded with the exception of trading to someone who was in the game with you when it dropped, and you only have two hours to trade them.
WARNING btw.... there is a bug in the AH where new level 60 legendaries and set items CAN be listed and bid upon, but you will NOT be able to move them to your stash.

Is it worthwhile to create a CalgaryPuck community in the game? I'm not sure what the new social features bring to the game.

Found two legendaries tonight, which doubles what I found before ever. And both were immediately way better than what I was using. Loot seems to be a constant stream of decent upgrades which is way more fun.. Mind you only level 17.
Really liking the explosive bolas on the demon hunter though.

I played roughly 18 minutes tonight and dropped a chest piece that immediately improved my DH. I need to give my Barb a run through. Id be so very sad if they nerfed him too hard.

My Monk is steamrolling Torment lvl 2 now, though the drops have leveled off a lot. Haven't found an upgrade in quite awhile

Anyone know if Magic item find boost on items is still useful after this patch update? Searching through the AH lead me to believe it isnt anymore.

I'm starting to worry that legendaries will become the new epic item, and that everyone will expect them to drop regularly. Aren't they supposed to be just what they say? Legendary?

When I was reading the patch notes while the game was reconfiguring, I noticed that their list of primary and secondary stats did not mention Magic Find at all, but did mention Gold Find...so I was lead to believe the stat is gone.
If so, it'll be a change of pace for me, spending my entire Diablo 2 career hunting out sets of MF gear, and buying a ton of MF gear initially in D3.

I found a decent Barb build I like that I use to run torment 2/3. leap/rend/ground stomp/charge with bash/hammer of the ancients on my mouse. Using any fury generator skills/runes I can.

TL;DR: Patch 2.0.1 Notes
Since the official patch notes for 2.0.1 take about half a minute just to scroll through, here is a way smaller list - a recap we might call it - of the major changes. Changes that are the demise itself for Barbarian's Whirlwind and Wrath of the Berserker Builds, as well as Critical Mass Wizards. Of course, there is now room for many new builds that are simply waiting to be discovered. If any of the changes below intrigues you, simply Ctrl+F it in the original Patch Notes in order to read details on it. New and Changed Features- Pools of Reflection – yellow wells (similar to healing wells) that provide a 25% bonus to experience until you reach a set amount of bonus experience or your character dies
- Nephalem Glory - Power Globes that grant the Nephalem Glory buff, which causes players to deal additional damage in the form of golden lightning bolts and increases their movement speed
- New hero stats - Toughness, Healing, Splash Damage, Cooldown Reduction, and Resource Cost Reduction
- You may now choose to either resurrect at your body, in town, or at the last checkpoint you encountered
- Gold can no longer be traded
- The difficulty system has been completely revised - Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno modes have been removed; There are now five difficulty settings to choose from: Normal, Hard, Expert, Master, and Torment (1-6)
- Cursed Chests and Shrines - Chests and Shrines around Sanctuary now have a chance to be cursed, starting an event once they are inspected
- Legendary and Set items are now Bind on Account
- All items that drop have a chance to roll as "Smart Loot" - Smart Loot items roll intelligently based on the character being played (example: A Wizard is more likely to find items with Intelligence or bonuses to Wizard skills than a Barbarian)
- The Paragon leveling system has been completely revamped - There is no longer a cap on the number of Paragon levels a player can gain; Paragon levels are now account-wide and shared across all characters
- Clans and Communities have been added to the game
Class Changes
Barbarian- Weapon Throw – Now a Fury Generator instead of a Fury Spender; Skill Rune - Dread Bomb has been removed, replaced by Balanced Weapon
- Hammer of the Ancients’ rune Birthright no longer has a chance to drop treasure

Same here. I scoured the earth for all my MF gear and now it seems they maybe rendered useless. I'm not going to ditch them yet just in case but there's millions of gold gone to waste. I also need to find a good replacement for my legendary mace. Not a huge fane of the chance to fear imbued on it. My barb is too slow to chase after those mobs.

MF still works (at least it still registers on your stats page), but they dropped the bonus from paragon levels/monster power/NV.
Where before I was running ~500% MF, I am down to only 15% for the one item that I still have MF on.
Haven't found an upgrade yet, but I have some pretty nice gear....

Hah got a socketed weapon for my DH, used one of my top tier gems in it, normal drops for my level are about 50dps, now I'm at 110!

I think so, I'm certainly enjoying it and I gave up not liking the game anymore quite a while ago. Though legendaries might be a little out of hand, I was wearing 5 of them at one point. But not having to scour the AH to get gear is awesome.

The Auction House really took a big chunk out of what makes Diablo successful. If you weren't thrilled with the game when it first came out, now is a good time to roll a new character and start from scratch. It's a different game now.
