1st or 2nd line minutes and he'll stick. 4th line and he'll be back in Abby by Friday.

Why in the world would Hartley give him 1st (or even 2nd for that matter) line duty?

A Granlund - Backlund - Hudler line sounds awesome in my books

And you think a B/B+ prospect with no experience makes it better?

Maybe even a Granlund - Backlund - Jones line to give them size and a net presence.

I wanna see this kid stick up in the line-up for a few games. I think it would hurry a few trades along too because guys like Stemps, Cammy, Butler, Galiardi, those are the guys that need to move on so we can get a considerably good look atguys like Hanowski, Granlund, Baertschi, Billins etc.

Hurry up March 5th!!!

Granlund with Backlund is a must.

I'm sure that's what fans want to see, not some 4th line rubbish. You can put Backlund there cause he's a proven NHL center, but for kids on short stints, you've got to put them in positions to succeed.

Granlund with Backlund would be awesome. Then trade for Berglund.

Sweet! Really pumped to see him play, and hopefully he gets a better look then what Breen got. Looking forward to seeing his 'NHL caliber' shot, as many posters in TBB section often rave about it.

There is just something with the way Backlund's been playing and if you have been following him of late Granlund as well that makes me think putting them on the same line will lead to great showings for both players. Both players have confidence in their games right now and their styles compliment each other.

I BS you not in saying this, but he's got one of the quickest releases I've ever seen. I mean there are other parts to his game that are currently just average. But his shot is accurate, and he gives goalies zero time to react cause he can get a shot off lightning fast. You'll notice on some of his goal highlights you don't even see the puck until it's sitting in the back of the net. It's why I pegged him to earn a promotion by this season's end.

they seem pretty close, would be interesting to see Mikael's reaction to his baby brother scoring his first NHL against him with him on the ice though.

I hope he sees some decent minutes off the start Granlund has been far more impressive than I expected. When you look at the remaining prospects from the 2011 draft there is so much upside there. Sven, Granlund, Wotherspoon, Gaudreau all have upside that could make this a successful rebuild. I know Burke said he didn't like any drafts other than 2013 but 2011 looks pretty good right now

Stop raising people's expectations

Sounds like an awesome addition to the Powerplay though.
