If you cannot enjoy a Hockey game without booze, especially at 5AM, you might have a problem. Oh wait, Molsons tells us that's the way it should be.

So i have a 3.50 cash advance fee on my credit card... phone RBC to figure out what that's about

apparently something with BC lottery (but may be also credit card company) and paying lottery tickets with a credit card it gets treated as a cash advance, so a $5 ticket turns into an $8.50 ticket with paying with a credit card

bunch of bullcrap, guess I have to withdraw the cash or use debit as apparently you get gouged $3.50 for paying with a credit card

Co-workers who only "travel" to off the beaten path locations and smugly look down on others for going to Mexico or Florida. The fact that you recently slummed it up in Nicaragua and Haiti doesn't make you special. You will probably be kidnapped on your next trip and my tax dollars will be bailing you out - provided they don't make a human candle out of you.

Not a BC thing. It's at the credit card level. I called prior to buying a subscription for our crew at work, and they were going to charge me. The only way I've found around it is by buying individual tickets with other things, like gas.

Watch incase they decide to charge you the 18% interest on the month's balance due to that 'cash advance' too....

Global just did a segment on this, maybe a couple of weeks ago. Most of the stores around here refuse to allow payment with credit cards for lotto tickets - cash or debit only.

WRGMG is when Americans get upset about sports rivalries. My wife posted the below photo to facebook recently and her brothers American fiance got all upset over the photo saying it's not in the "Olympic Spirit". Boo hoo, you lost a couple games and people are having some fun with it, grow up. Long story short, I managed to get #### blocked my an American thousands of miles away, and that really GMG.

Yeah that image displays a lack of class. It's fun to win and celebrate that, but that image is just throwing the win in the losers face.

You shouldn't have to #### on others to make the win feel better to you.

I guess I am a terrible person for watching that picture meanwhile listening to Bob Marley's "no woman no cry". I just enjoy when the US lose almost as much as I enjoy Canada winning.

As for the thread - I hate how easily people are manipulated by the media, and often voice something they read on the internet as fact.

Unfortunetly I am not always an exception

Americans GMG. Poor losers. Had the situation unfolded differently you would NEVER hear the end of it with them tooting their own horns. Eat some humble pie.

It looks like I'm in the minority but id prefer if the mods ditch the pic of that girl from the cemetery. It's one thing when it's a media release and all the details are out there and then the story and pic get posted here.

But not a fan of the public shaming junk, especially when we only have one side of the story. I realize it's pretty obvious what she did, but it's a bylaw offense, worthy of a ticket.

I wish this site wouldn't provide a public space for all the shaming comments and insults, complete with her picture. She may or may not ever see it, but the internet bullying stuff is pretty low, imo

I know some people don't see it as bullying, but to have your picture plastered all over local message boards and have people going at you for a ticketable offense is pretty over the top, and hopefully our board decides they agree.

If you ruin this thread by bringing that GD dog poop topic here, it's going to really grind my gears.
