Really nice shot on the goal. Found just enough room over the goalie's shoulder against the post.

Matty and Johnny Gaudreau both playing on the same line right now.
Matty = Johnny's brother

Swan song shifts for the brothers. As johnny will be gone after this season. I was going to post something in regards to Johnny's points streak but I figure the joo-joo is running too strong these days. Dont want to spoil anything.

A fourth-round pick of the Calgary Flames in the 2011 NHL draft, Gaudreau, a communications major, briefly thought about turning pro after his sophomore season.
“I really only thought about it a little bit,” Gaudreau said. “With my younger brother [Matthew] coming in, I really wanted a chance to play with him. I also talked to some guys who left early to go to the pros and getting a degree is really important to me so I knew coming back this year would put me that much closer to accomplishing that.”

Will he be in Calgary or Abbotsford next season? That's the only question-mark.

That goaltender is hugging the post and Gaudreau still found a gap. Some guys just have it.

I think that Johnny will probably play at least part of next season in the AHL, to see how he adapts to bigger, stronger, and faster opponents.
That said... if he comes out in the preseason and puts up 10 points in 5 games... who knows.

Gaudreau will be given every chance to make the team, but I sincerely doubt they rush him into the NHL if he's not 100% ready for it.

I think the chances of him making the Flames out of camp are <10%. Can't wait to see him rip it up for the Heat. Might actually make it out to a game.

You know Sven Baertschi and Markus Granlund play for the Heat right now? That's worth the price of a ticket. Ortio is too most nights.

No #### eh. If I weren't 12+ hours away I would be a season ticket holder.

Given Burke's comments and previous handling of prospects, i'd say it's an almost certainty Gaudreau spends time with the Heat.
With so many guys down there at similar ages and backgrounds (college), it should be an awesome experience for him and a great way to develop and transition not just his hockey game, but personally.
With the guys already there and the guys coming in, next years Heat team could be amazing...

I know, I want to head out there for a game, but keep putting it off. Tough to make time. Bit of a drive.

Me too. if I lived within an hour or two of Abbotsford, I would be a season ticket holder immediately.
