No respect whatsoever? He was named to the deepest roster and best blue-line at the Olympic games, no? Yes he won the Norris Trophy last year, but does anyone really, truly believe he was the single best defenceman in the NHL? It's voted on by members of the PWHA, and most would probably agree the level of hockey knowledge is not uniform across that entire body given some of the markets they operate in.
Let's not get too carried away here - I'm fairly certain the Hockey Canada braintrust and coaching staff is at least as in the know on Subban as those of us on here, maybe even marginally more-so (Kevin Lowe excepted of course).

Are you saying he should have been on the team last time?
First, he's only a lock now because of his status as "Alex Pietrangelo's defense partner". I.e., the reason Seabrook made it in 2010.
Second, in 2010, we had other left defense to choose from, like, say, Scott Niedermayer and Chris Pronger.

My concern about Bouw is he has shown time and time again that when the pressure is high his game really takes a nose dive. Even last game he made some serious gaffs and it will be worse today. I am cheering for Canada to win but I don't think they will.

Nobody thought the women's team would win...up until the 3min mark in the 3rd period. Believe!

I want to believe, I really do but the U.S has had great chemistry and we have Jay Bouwmeester.

Great chemistry or just been very consistent in capitalizing on their scoring chances?
Canada has had decent chemistry too they just haven't been able to find the back of the net.

I think our guys have great chemistry as well. Everyone played well last game despite the score and nobody panicked when we couldn't buy a goal. If our forwards can find their way on the scoreboard I think we'll be just fine.

Really hoping Duchene goes out there and just rips it up. The enthusiasm of some of the younger guys could make a big difference, it's just too bad one of them won't be JT.

US gets last change? How was that determined? I though CAN was the higher seed.

So are Obama and Harper going double-for-nothing on this?

I'm totally ok with them keeping D Pairings together. The Crosby Kunitz thing I'm totally over.
