Yeah, terrible reffing. That slashing call on the USA was pure bush league as was the 'cross-check' instead of a penalty shot. Dont know WTF was going on there.

Well to be honest, I think the US did play a bit better of a game, but these are two close teams, and it was a close game and it can come down to swings like this.
Also, considering that whole Canadian flag on the floor of the US dressing room in 2002 business, I am beginning to think they may have cursed themselves for a good long while.

Even still. If they started calling that a penalty then they may as well sit players in the box from the start of the game. Its a weak slap at the pads.

Wickenheiser and Ouellette, if I'm not mistaken, are the only Canadian athletes with 4 gold medals at the Olympics. 5 medals total each.
