Canada taking a ton of risks on the PK... might backfire.

Campbell and Botterill are doing an excellent job at commentary. Really enjoying what they are bringing to the broadcast so far.
Great game through 1. Have to account for the fact that the refs are calling it tight. Need to keep the edge, but watch the line that has been set.

I would say it's on par with the Finland game, but all in all the 4 periods of Canada vs. USA in women's hockey this Olympics have been fantastic. Better than over half the regular season NHL stuff I have watched this season.

Pretty unlikeable American team. They're quick to throw their stick and throw arms up and hit the deck when they get hit, but like to play super tough after the whistle.

I think the poster was commenting on what has happened so far. I expect tomorrow's semifinal will be the best hockey we have seen at these games to that point.

True, but his statement still stands... this beats any Canadian game up till this point, for entertainment value.

Playing dirty has been the American strategy all year long. Both of the exhibition brawls followed some less than sportsmanlike play by the Americans.

It's like watching a female Canucks team.

Is it weird I have trouble calling a women's hockey team did-bags?

There have only been a handful of good scoring chances in the game, and most of them by the Americans who are clearly the faster team but a bit inferior on defense and prone to some mistakes if Canada can put the pressure on them.
PP now - need to make it count.

I might be the only one but I have a heck of a time watching women's hockey with how slow they are and how bad the decisions they make are.

Yeah I find it tough to watch at the best of times but on the big ice... it is almost unwatchable. I will never understand why body checking is illegal in women's hockey.
