Team Canada - Jones, Lawes, Officer, and McEwen, become the first women's Olympic curling team to go undefeated for Gold!

Canada now has the only man (Kevin Martin) and woman to go undefeated in the Olympics.

Thinking about Sandra Schmirler right now. She would be proud.

Congrats to the Jones rink!

The rock picked big time so it will not count against her percentage, though this one was obvious, I'm sure they can't "unconsider" every time a rock picks, sometimes it is so subtle.

Also rocks that are thrown through, on purpose, don't count in the percantages either, but not sure how they are offcially "scored", same with rocks that are burned.

It will be interesting to see where it goes from here, in curling qualifying for the next Olympics will start after next season so the shuffling of the teams is always interesting. Are Officer and Jones wanting to commit another four years??

I would imagine it will be Lawes team at some point in this cycle. Perhaps some upcoming Manitoba junior champions will latch on.

Hoping Groenewoud can get it together for this 2nd run. There's a medal opportunity here with those first runs.

I think rocks thrown through or burned are unconsidered, while hog and free guard violations count as 0 points out of 4.

I wonder if curling should have a "pick judge" for big tournaments. If a rock picks, the judge would call it and you'd be allowed to stop it and rethrow. But anyways, congrats to the team, they were awesome!

To be fair, they could have done very light sweeping. Canada did this plenty throughout the game and the tournament.

No dice. Finishes out of the medals altogether.

Women's pipe really needs the next generation of skiers badly. Go to COP on the weekend and you'll find 12 year old boys who could have won gold in that comp today. Sad.

Yeah, I'd agree that it was definitely disappointing.

Well done by the Russians, get humiliated in hockey, turn around and fix the women's figure skating to make themselves feel better. Impressive stuff.
