The guy had to wait YEARS just to get a job with cruddy Buffalo! Why condemn him for taking a longshot Euro squad?...he wasn't going to have an Olympic shot any other way.

I guess Babcock really meant it when he said all we need to do is score one more goal than the other team.

I don't like the Canadians chances against Team USA...much more potent offense in this tournament.

nothing wrong with battling through adversity

Canada stuck with it the whole game and didn't give up any chances after the one goal

"Latvian" is a worldwide trend on twitter right now - only notable because it's not "Latvia"

I'm guessing 1000's of tweets about "That Latvian goalie"

Bring on the U.S. I hope Canada takes this game as a wake up call. Need that Latvian style to take into that game.

Man, playing the USA is going to be very interesting. It really feels like the canadians are going in as severe underdogs.

The forwards better figure this crap out, they've been more or less ineffective offensively this tournament.

Either the forwards are due for a big outburst Friday or Canada is gonna need a hat-trick from Doughty and Weber both. To date the lack of offense hasn't cost them but they won't be winning Friday unless the forwards step it up big time or Price steals it.

Well, someone said it already, but hopefully that's the wake up game Canada needed. They generally have one a tournament.

Of course, it could also just be the sign that they are not going to go any further.

For the same reason that three time world champion Canadian curler Marcel Roque was trying to eliminate Canada today in curling. It's his job.
