I hope.
They've gotten more tired as the game has gone along. Less hitting and a less dynamic offence towards the back half of the 2nd. I hope they don't get a second wind because of the intermission.

Wow, I'm so worried right now. Canada needs to get a PP goal to start the third. They are getting lots of shots but not many good chances. Latvia is playing amazing however and are getting the occasional chance. Ozolinsh, Girgensons and their goalie are having great games.

For the record, my karma is clean cause I felt bad for the Russian fans as their game got closer and closer to ending.

All the rest of you? FOR SHAME!!!

nash is one of the few guys on the team that can dispsy doodle and beat a defender one on one.

Marleau, st. loius, carter, perry, kunitz, and to an extent, crosby, bergeron, toews, are more north-south players.

Aside from a big breakdown (which we are just not seeing much of this tournament), on the big ice, the cycling and all just aren't generating high quality scoring chances. Need someone to make a play to get the puck inside to create a breakdown and real scoring opportunity.

The shot clock is quite misleading. Lot of shots from the outside, that aren't really high quality chances.

Did you see Finland's game?

This is just two teams playing poor hockey.

Team Canada has decided that skill and system are enough. Need more grit and determination.

Losing to the Finns is within the realm of possibility. Losing to the Latvian's shouldn't be, with all due respect to the Latvians.

Except for, you know, the actual entertainment factor provided by watching the game.

But yeah, it's sure fun to think about.

Time for Canada to pot a power play goal.

I definitely have faith, they're going to win this game.

Yeah, I don't really understand it. If you're not going to play your 7th defenseman then dress Subban as a powerplay specialist and option if you're trailing in the game (or want to activate the D in overtime).

If you're interested in theoretical victories, yes it's 100% accurate.

I don't think you can say it tells you nothing. But yeah, it's not the same as a series at all. A lot more possibilities for upsets.

I would actually put Finland ahead of Sweden right now, but yeah, The top four this year are all very good. Was worried Russia might be a bit overrated too. Though, people will say the same about us if we lose this game.

Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland, and Russia all could have won gold this year. Almost a (five sided) coin flip in this type of tournament.

If Canada does get knocked out though, (knock wood, cross fingers and toes) I'll be cheering for Latvia.

Very dangerous for the Canadians. It's a one period game now and although Latvia was looking a little slower in the second, I think they'll come to play in the third and be fine considering this might be the game of their lives and they'll be running on adrenaline after the intermission.

Hope Canada can pull this off... come on Crosby, do your thing!
