For the USA-Czech Republic quarter final game, the 2 teams met in the quarter final on Feb. 18, 1998 in Nagano. The Czechs won 4-1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hoc...Quarter-finals

Those Sloveens are a feisty bunch. second period picking up on the rough stuff.

Sweden got away with a clear too many men on the ice non-call.

Stupid Sweden. A whole bunch of dirty cheaters. It's unbelievable not only that they got away with playing the puck from the bench to prevent a three-on-one, but even more ridiculous that they feel they must resort to such tactics against this particular team.

I have always hated Sweden. My hatred only festers and grows with this game.

Because Canada or other teams would never, ever play "dirty", right? How you can spout crap like this, considering hits like Niedermayer's on Forsberg, is just amazing to me. For once take off your red and white coloured glasses.

Edit: Realised you might be Norwegian? Not sure.

Expatriated Canadian presently living in Norway, many of whom share my antipathy for Swedish hockey.

As for your whining about Canada, I fail to see why anyone should care about things that have occurred years ago. Get over it. Do you seriously not see the difference between taking liberties in a competitive game relative to taking liberties in a game in which the offending team possesses a SUBSTANTIAL competitive edge?

My red and white coloured glasses will stay firmly affixed, thank you. It definitely helps to soften the ungodly blue and yellow Swedish colours that practically make my eyes bleed.
