You can breathe easier now. Bronze is pretty safe although someone could still pull one out. Tracks still in good shape.

Dammit, the other American bumped down Hudec and Bode to third. Now if someone has the run of their life Hudec is off the podium.

Missed Hudec's run but glad to see him in 3rd. Canada/USA in a tight curling match, and Snowboard Cross seeding beginning.

Sorry guys, I'm watching the snowboard cross and the first boarder... she landed awkwardly off of a jump, blew out her knee and just started screaming in pain as she fell and hit a few other jumps... and then started to scream, "I blew out my knee! I ####ing blew out my knee!"
Blood curdling.

Can someone who follows curling a little more closely explain how this men's team beat out all the other top teams in Canada? They have looked so shaky every game I've seen so far and they're just blowing every shot now. I won't be surprised if they're the first canadian team to not win a medal at the olympics.

Because the Jacobs rink has been extremely hot and they were winning everything up to the Olympics. I can't say I'm a fan of them, and they've been shaky a lot this week.
It always comes down to the Olympic trials, no matter what.

When this team is playing well they are very, very good. Their ability to throw run backs with accuracy is the best in the world which can make them very hard to come from behind against. Right now they are just a bit off on a lot of shots. Don't count them out yet.

May have been an overreaction on my part, that was a pretty nice draw for 2 there.
Still, seems every olympics our men's and women's teams dominate the round robin. This is the first time I've seen them struggle like this. Guess we are pretty spoiled with talented curlers.

I think with Canada, it's a bit of peaking too soon. there are some great teams in the world, but none of them have to go through the wringer that Canadian qualifying puts you through

Another girl in snowboard cross, american this time... she went off a huge jump and couldn't land properly... she screamed and then crashed very hard... then lay still on the course. This is a hell of a rough sport...

Both the competitors who have DNF'd so far are in the top 10 in the world.

I don't follow Curling too much...but I remember Martin and Kleibrink. How does Jacob's team compare? I've noticed the ability to throw run backs accurately, but I really don't know much else.

Jacobs' team has the added bonus of drinking protein shakes 100 times a day and they love listening to house music.
They are the bros of Canada. Literally, and, figuratively.
They are really hard to cheer for, based on the things they've said in the media, but, they're still our Canadian team. I really would've preferred to see Howard or Martin though.

Well, pretty sure Hudec gets a medal, these ones are 2-3 (or much more) seconds off the pace - about 20 left.
