I'm not going further with this, because both you and I know it doesn't need explanation, but you feel the need to seem "above" these base and very normal feelings.

There's a long tradition of segregating locker rooms by sex. The societal relationship between women and men is very different than that between gay men and straight men. Women are often treated as sexual objects and are more likely to be the victims of sexual assault at the hands of men. Neither is true for straight men and gay men (if anything, gay men are more likely to be sexually assaulted by straight men than the other way around).
The fact that generally you can't even tell whether a person is gay or straight goes a long way to showing that whatever discomfort or concern some straight men may now feel over sharing a locker room with gay men is just in their heads.
I agree I have come at this incorrectly and have been purposefully obtuse, but as many have said in this thread and what you seem to agree with is that sometimes people don't have a right to always be comfortable. We have to balance their desire to not be uncomfortable against the right that gay people have to not be ostracized.

Sorry do you mean assaulted because of their sexual preference or sexually assaulted?

Except "Guns kill people by themselves" is illogical because guns don't kill people, "running blue cement on corn" isn't even a sentence, so you're clearly just suffering from an inherent misunderstanding of a simple concept.

I've shared the locker room with gay guys before. Again, no one really checks anyone out because, well, we're grown-ups. We have a lesbian on our team and in rinks with male and female rooms the girls don't get all freaked up about changing with a lesbian because, well, they're all grown-ups.
So basically when I hear things about people being uncomfortable about such a thing the first thing that comes to mind is "grow up". And after that it's something that after a few times being in the same room very few who think they will care are actually going to care.

I totally get what you are saying here but you also have to understand a lot of these athletes are not grown ups and some (maybe a lot in football) don't come from the greatest of backgrounds. They may not grasp the situation in front of them.
My first thought when thinking/knowing I have a gay fellow in the room isn't is he checking me out but a fear I might offend them with something I say. The dressing room is not the most politically correct place in the world. Hell we call one of our players Princess. Look at the Ridiculousness of the Incognito situation with the Dolphins. Crewed talk to say the least but all done in jest between supposed friends. That's where I feel/think teams say it will disrupt the chemistry of a team. Do you act differently with a girl in the dressing room than you would with just the guys?
The above is a hypothetical, gay, straight, man, women makes no difference to me, I don't care who I offend...With me it is all about attitude. Either your decent or not.

According to a 1997 study about the sexual assaults of adult men, 94% of the attackers were male, and 90% of the attackers were heterosexual.

Perhaps this is a sign that you need to reassess your dressing room culture (rather than exclude LGBT persons from your lockerroom)?

Well yeah they kind of are. They may not want to be, and may be willing to change and that's great. But if they're uncomfortable being around someone because they're gay, the person is homophobic. Just like I would be Acrophobic if I was scared of heights. If theyre uncomfortable being naked in general thats different.
Homophobia does not only apply to people who are outspoken about it.

the NGSA statistics say more gay sex happens with cars, or hammers or swimming pools than with a gay man, so why try to ban gay men.
This is the kind of ######ness I see in his statement.

The two statements have nothing to do with each other, what are you missing?
The statement was essentially "That makes no sense."
Instead of "guns kill people by themselves" it could have been "tigers make great pets". The intention of the statement was to outline how little sense the proposition of a gay man being unable to resist a bunch of dicks in a room was.
SIMPLE concept. I can't believe you are unable to understand a stupid simile.

Isn't there a modesty issue. If a person is uncomfortable with changing in front of a person who is attracted to their gender that is not homophobic. Gay man or Straight women is not the issue modesty.

That is not the gay person's issue, that is the "modest" person's issue, and they should address it themselves.

He took the exact same argument, verbatim, he uses in the gun threads and introduced it into a thread about a gay athlete.
This isn't him coming up with a random thought, this is him arguing his point about guns in a completely unrelated thread.
He knows what he is donig, even though you are not catching on. This is why I am saying his point made no sense in the context of this thread.

Perhaps you should read the post again. Never said anything about excluding anyone. I was merely pointing out another point of view not based on will the gay guy jump my bones that seems to be a prevalent topic.
If you can crack a beer, give and take a joke and generally be a good #### to be around you're ok in my books regardless.
