Default Mens Hockey, Feb. 12 with 2 games at 10:00 AM Mountain

Well here it is, Olympic Mens hockey or as I like to say, the NHL allstars at the Olympics. Remember that it's international rules with touch icing, a much wider ice surface, no multiple overtimes, and different shootout rules. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Ice_hockey_layout.svg

vs.

The only Flames player in this game is defenseman Ladislav Smid for the Czechs. The game is on Sportsnet One in Canada and in the states on the USA network and is the best game of the two.

vs.

The only Flames player in this game is goaltender Retto Berra for the Swiss.
The game is on MSNBC in the states and CBC online in Canada.

My guess for the winners, the Czechs and the Swiss.

Watching the game on American TV, but muted it in order to turn on Swedish radio commentators through their website. Best way to watch a game!

Hilarious that Kovar is the Czech's starter. Like I know Pavelec is not really NHL starter calibre, but c'mon, Kovar is definitely their third stringer. Salak would be in the NHL as well if the KHL didn't back a truckload of money into his house, and even he isn't starting. This coach is ridiculous.

I hope the Czech's get lit up all tournament long for the purely political construction of their team.

Smid and Hemsky didn't see any icetime for the Czechs in the first period.
