I thought Randle was going to try for the NFL, I guess the Bombers were willing to offer him enough money to keep him in the CFL.
Huff doesn't spend much in free agency, he builds his teams through the draft and by finding gems in the free agent college ranks.
I think he will maybe sign an O-lineman, and some secondary depth.
A shutdown DB would be nice though, we got torched a few times last year. Or sign Shea Emry and move Keon Raymond back to DB.
Mayo, Simpson and Emry would be unreal.
Have a bad feeling the Riders are gonna sign Emry though...

I am not questioning Huf's decision, i am just puzzled for what we get in return.

Sounds like a case of Randal going after money, and Huff probably losing him to FA.
So really Huff moves up a couple spots for a player he was going to lose either way.

yup thats it exactly...he was a UFA so he managed to leverage that into a better draft position. In regard to Phillips he probably has a better plan in place.

Lots of Friday night doubleheaders this year; makes sense if the game is in BC but I'm not sure I like the 8:00 start times in Calgary (makes it hard to take kids).

Unless there are injuries, it might be tough to get playing time this year...

Yeah it'll be tough for sure if the Stamps remain healthy. But he is a non-import so it will help the ratio and having Canadian depth is always a good thing. Forzani sounds like he could be done with his bad ankle, so we will atleast have Jabari Arthur, Sinopoli, Bauman, Parker as Canadians at the position.
He was a top pick in the draft, might as well keep him around if he wants to be here.

In the Olympic mixed zone, brakeman Jesse Lumsden hints at attending open CFL tryouts for some of his old teams. Stamps? Tabbies?

I could see Lumsden on the practice roster for the Stamps.
