I knew as soon as they were conferring it was probably Bronze instead of Silver. 82 from NZL? Ouch, haha. Fantastic job though, great Gold and Bronze!

Awesome result! Especially considering Turski didn't qualify.

The exciting Cross-Country sprints. http://olympics.cbc.ca/videos/live/v...fications.html

Men's Half-pipe is also on, and Canada vs. Sweden in what should be a medal round preview in Men's Curling.

Well that event sure epitomized "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat". Team Canada had it all.

To put it in perspective on how well we're doing:

In 2010 we didn't get our 4th gold until day 7. by the end of day 4 in 2010 we only had 5 medals total.

Just watched the women's ski slopstyle final here in Australia.

Pretty crazy some of the tricks these girls do (especially going backwards!)

Awesome for Dara Howell and Kim Lamarre to win Gold and Bronze respectively.

9 medals!!

Awesome!

But man I hope Yuki Tsubota is ok. That was a terrible crash. Any word on her condition?

Our athletes have been performing excellently, proud of all of them and proud to be Canadian!

A little more perspective, though. 4 of our medals (3 in various slopestyle events, 1 in team figure skating) have come in events that weren't Olympic events in 2010. Shouldn't take anything away from the 2014 team, but to directly compare the two is a little unfair.

To be fair, it's not a direct comparison. Different events, different schedules, different athletes, etc. Only one of the golds was not expected (Women's Moguls). That being said, it's really awesome seeing us do so well this early and extremely uplifting.

Curling just isn't the same without Vic Rauter.

Perianne Jones and Daria Gaiazova get in the top 30 to qualify for the quarter-finals in a couple hours. Men up next.
