Class of '99 for me.
The school closed for multiple reasons in those three years.
1) a student shot a model rocket through the front windows trying to light the school on fire
2) Someone lit their whole locker on fire after getting expelled
3) Someone left a battery hooked up over the weekend, in shop class, which filled the entire school with smoke.
4) a girl hung herself in the girls bathroom (sad time)
The school was in the paper, for bad reasons, for having a school sanctioned silent assassin game weeks after Columbine. There were multiple teams (ours named LaCosta Nostra) that would get the names of people on the other teams. You would shoot them with a dart gun and then go and get a new name. If you were hit you were out.
In grade 10 there was a huge Lebanese vs. Pakistani battle that led to tonnes of fights, suspensions and expulsions. One fight resulted in someone being tossed through the window of the Rusty Cage Bar near by.
