Nice job. It seams like Bouma does something noteworthy each game. I'm hoping at least 1 trade is made right after the break to keep Byron up. I suppose the can either keep Ortio in the AHL, or place Ramo on IR retro-active to his last game, so that he can be activated as soon as he is ready. Let's be honest though, we know Ramo is going to be here next year. Is it a bad thing to rest him an extra 2 weeks to let Ortio draw the paycheck and draw some game action. He could choose to sign with a Euro pro team for more money if he doesn't see a future here. After the trade deadline we are not restricted to roster limits so Byron won't have to go down. But if he's up, he better be getting game action, so it can be decided if he's getting another contract.

I thought the Flames looked intimidated by the big Flyers forwards. That we only lost by 2 to 1 was lucky as the Flyers only played as good as needed.

I disagree. I thought the good chunks of the game the flyers seemed surprised the Flames speed and Backlund's ability to break through a check. Defensively we owned them despite the size difference

I was watching when the Flames got hemmed in their zone and the Flames appeared not to want to challenge the Flyers physically. The Flyers just did whatever they wanted.
