I think he meant just bad luck, can't win with him.
He played very well tonight.

I want to like Berra, but damn does he make it difficult. Half the time he's looking in the opposite direction of where the puck is.
Edit: Regarding the direction thing, I'm more or less speaking about past games. I thought he did well tonight.

He has been better in his losses since december. (I cherry picked only the stats that support my opinion).
He's had 6 games where he played good enough to win but the Flames lost in regulation. You'd think they'd win one of them..

McLennan is actually worse than Simmer at color. He was terrible. Listening to him was actually more painful than watching the game.

At least Florida and NYI both won tonight.

Cammalleri doesn't look very good since coming back from his concussion. I wouldn't rush signing him to an extension.

Almost identical stat line as the last full game where Berra only allowed 1 goal, the Oiler game after Christmas.
In both games, the Flames had 0 goals on 27 shots. Berra faced 27 shots from the Oilers and 26 tonight. Only goal was a garbage bounce off a jerk-face from Alberta. In both games, the Flames took a late penalty with Berra pulled and the other team potted an empty-netter.

damn onions
5-3 for 2 straight minutes and nobody moved around. Everyone stood still and tried to make it by simply passing.
That right there pretty much sums it up tonight.
Also, I hate our vets and think they're overall generally speaking kinda lazy comparatively outside of a couple guys.
That's all.

On the one hand, I apologize for jinxing the win streak last time. On the other, Aaron Ekblad.

Trade Cammy for what you can get at this point.
The guy isn't getting any better. At least other teams still see him as a top 6 producer that can help push them over the top.

Agree.
I have defended Wideman a fair bit over the last two seasons.
But IMO he has been really bad for the past month - well, since coming back from injury.
The entire D - Gio, Brodie, Russell, Smid and Butler - have been playing really well. With the exception of Wideman.

Am I the only one that is seeing the Cammy criticism just slightly getting out of hand?
I mean, the guy is trying - he is a human though, he isn't perfect.
For example; look at Hudler. Just as many -- if not more plays have died on his stick then Cammy's this game and no one is saying anything about him.
I'm not trying to come across as a jerk, but I feel that needs to be said.

Despite the rumblings that Burke and Cammalleri are working on an extension, I still think there's a >90% chance he's traded. He's going to be 32 this summer and only has a handful of "prime years" left. I highly doubt he wants to spend those years playing for a lottery team. I think Burke is posturing for a better return and Cammy is being a good guy and playing along.

So when our young guys don't score, isn't that when the vets are supposed to step up? Can't wait till many of them are gone.

I think the five games was a nice unexpected ride. Hate losing to the the habs but in a rebuild you look at the positives. I love the little plays Monahan does. I think as the season has gone on he is using his size more. I don't know if it was just me but I thought he was stronger on the puck and had some great puck battles last night.
only a handful of games before the trade deadline.
