Canucks have 4 wins in their last 18 games. If they didn't have that insane December, they'd be in lottery territory right now.

Didn't think it would be this fast but I had a feeling that group in Vancouver would tune Torts out fairly quick.

I have way too much anticipation to hear details on hamhuis...

He seems like a nice guy but gio going to sochi would be the highlight of the season for me.

The garbage Northwest division might have hid the Canucks fall last year. Having 3 garbage teams and then an average at best Wild team in the division couldn't have hurt.

Paul Maurice has been an absolute godsend for WPG. 2 points back of Vancouver now.

On a points percentage basis, the Canucks are now 10th in the West.

It's unlikely, but they could potentially be third-last in the West (only ahead of their Alberta neighbours) going into the break.

It looks like they may be playing a Sedin too early from injury again, didn't watch the game but saw the highlight where Henrik threw the puck away and gave it up because a player was about to hit him, he was actually scared to take the hit.

Gutsy win by the Jets in their 2-1 win over the Hurricanes. Yep, Maurice has allowed the Jets to take flight and it's qutie remarkable. The Stars 3-1 win over the Coyotes also puts Dallas 2 back of the Canucks.

I want Gillis to jump onto the Darryl Sutter tread mill, and to trade Bo Horvat for a rental such as Cammy, or Vanek something along those lines. Oh hell throw in a 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder this year and next year.

Not picking on you necessarily, but what the ##### is a gutsy win? I keep seeing it around the net. It's either a win or a loss.

In fact, where is that 'What should be left out of hockey' thread? I have an addition to submit...

See the difference between Edmonton's 'victory' over San Jose, and, for example, Calgary's comeback win over St. Louis back in December. Perhaps there are some who overuse the word at times, but I think it has a place. A team without a few key players to injury battling hard against a top-level squad to victory is 'gutsy' to me. Or a comeback where the team looked to be down and out. 'Gutsy' is the anti-Oilers.

Was watching That’s Hockey on TSN last night and Craig Button had a funny quip as they were showing Leafs/Panthers highlights as it was the annual fathers trip and as the cameras panned acroos the dads craig remarked he thought it was a reunion of the 1967 cup winning team…..made me laugh.

I really, really hope the Canucks miss the playoffs. Nothing would bring me more joy.

I think it's funnier when they make the playoffs, thinking they will smoke the team they play in the first round, then get smashed.

I agree that a round one upset is funnier (like when the LA Kings beat them in 2012) but now them losing in the playoffs is expected so it wouldn't really be an "upset". At this point, them not making the playoffs would make me the happiest.
