Ben Hanowski fighting with Dumont

Hanowski's first AHL fight.

Draw...not much of a fight

Scoring Change: On the Jones goal, the assist has been taken away from Smith and given to Locke

Heat sure needed this.

Nice to get some vets in the line up. Jones, Smith, Locke and even O'Brien should be a real help to the younger guys.

How delicious was that win. yum yum yum. Lovin the rebuild.

edit: thought O'Brien/Locke/Jones made the Heat a team to be reckoned with.

Personally, I see him more as your 3rd line centre/grinder sort of player. That guy that you slot in every night, put on the PK, put on the 2nd unit PP, put him in against the other teams top line because in addition to possessing offensive skills, he possess alot of defensive and physical skills. He might not play top minutes, but he's going to play the important minutes.

way to go Joni!!! I hope the Flames give him a look at some point this season, I think he deserves it. Also think Jordan Sigalet deserves a lot of credit. Since he's the Heat goalie coach, there always seems to be a Heat goalie among the league's best.

Really excited about Knight and Granlund. Can't wait to see them at the NHL level. Also, Max Power seems to have made a major step forward in terms of offensive production. Good to see!

How can anyone not like Granlund and Reinhart? Holy smokes there was some nice passing on display there! Knight definitely looks like he has a NHL shot and his size is something we are sorely missing. Nice to see Hanowski step up and get his nose dirty. I really like the way his game has developed. I so badly want to see an airlift of youngsters to the Flames, but I also want to see this group take a run at the Calder Cup. The future doesn't look so bleak when you look at the pipeline.

Tom Kostopolous is the name that makes the most sense as a comparable. Someone that can put up 20-25 points while playing a good two way role on the 3rd/4th line.

^^^ I see a lot of Carey Wilson in young Mr. Reinhart. A very heady player, but one who takes his defensive responsibilities more seriously than his offensive game. Reinhart can produce, when given a chance, but knows keeping the puck out of the net is just as important as scoring. Great young player that I hope gets an honest chance with this team.

Love Sven getting right in there to protect his goalie around ~2:15.
Beauty goal by Granlund, showed power and skill there.
Evan Trupp very notciable on the snipes by Knight.
Sven with a nice move and Jorris with even a nicer move on the goal.
Ortio with a nice save and SO.

Thanks for this video.

I hate that Calgary calls these guys up and then plays them on the 4th line. I mean seriously, look at that shot from Jones on the PP. The Flames are sorely lacking that threat since Iginla was moved, why not give Jones 1st line PP time and see how he does?

Fantastic game all around, not much not to enjoy about that one.

Trevor Gillies will be in the lineup tonight. It'll be interesting to see who's the healthy scratch in his place, especially after a game where damn near everyone played a perfect game.

If he wasn't mandated to play by Flames management, I'd sit MacDermid. The guy's been unnoticeable and that's putting it lightly.

I've enjoyed their burgers in the past. Haven't had one in a couple years now.

They've since added some sort of New York Grill something or other that is apparently pretty good. There's a Panago there as well. Steer clear of the popcorn and pretzels. The popcorn disintegrates like cotton candy as soon it touches liquid and the pretzels will make the inside of your mouth shrivel up like a slug that had salt sprinkled on it.

Somehow they've been able to get the Sleeman's and soda below freezing point without it turning to a solid, which is downright awesome. (That's just my theory).
