Back to back horrible losses and all of a sudden its time to reconsider where this team is at. DeRozan, not Lowry, should be their number 1 player to move. Too much of an offensive liability.

Longterm unless MU is an idiot he could never have considered this a team that is going anywhere. They are not in a weak division and conference as they are in a historically pathetic one. They were winning games for the most part against bozo tanking squads. They can't even manage to beat them as of the last couple.
They got a boost from a trade. Hardly unheard of but the catch is always what happens once it settles back down. Then you quickly see what a dufus Casey is. What a blackhole DD is. That they are basically a couple of young guys with potential and a whole lot of non-upside players.
I'm hoping MU does have brains and has been planning all along to just make the best deals possible when the timing is right.

Haven't seen the last couple games, but the silver lining is that it gives Ujiri a little more leeway to make the moves that he wants leading up to the trade deadline. Would have been difficult to trade any of the core if they keep winning.
I wonder if they are still "protecting" JV? Do they even do that in the NBA with rookies and sophomores?
Watched the last 3 quarters and team D was outstanding...glad I missed the 1st.
Demar with a strong game, but Casey gets more offensive looks to Amir and Patterson than JV.
Their entire forward corps relies on garbage baskets and put backs. The team does not run plays for them hardly at all. Amir and JV are PnR guys and Lowry isn't a PnR guard. GV is but the guy is at best a serviceable backup.
Yep DD actually had a game where he didn't have to throw up shot after shot after shot to score pts.
It's not sustainable. They need, especially if they make the playoffs, some consistent inside scoring. Yet they rarely feed the ball inside.
Calderon and Amir was like money in the bank on the PnR. A guard who could feed the big men inside would help them considerably. As would a backup center who could take on the bigger centers in the league.
What happens or does not happen at the deadline will be the story for MU this year. If he is truthful and isn't going to just watch them do their treadmill thing he either deals for the future or adds to the roster. Personally I think the 2nd option is silly but if they choose it then they need an upgrade at those backup spots.
So lets see. You have a big man in Jonas with whom Brooklyn has no one to matchup with, yet you choose not to continuosly pound the ball inside to him? Seems like a waste.

When was the last time the Raptors had 3 different players go for 30 plus on in three consecutive games? Nice that they don't need to rely on any one guy being hot for the first time in ages.
If they lock up Patterson, that really makes up for losing Davis in the Gay trade. I really like Patterson's game. He probably won't ever be elite, but he's one of those guys who I look at and think, he could be a role-player on a championship team someday.

DeRozan made the all-star team, Lowry did not. Also going to NO, JV on the sophmore team, and Ross to the slam dunk competition. I think Lowry deserves to go ahead of DeRozan (and certainly ahead of Joe Johnson), but whatever, it's only the ASG and really counts for nothing.

Lowry at this point should not only be on the All-Star team, but I really hope he's on the Raptors next year, and DeRozan is not. I think Lowry is a better player and you can still get very good value for DeMar.

Why can't we have both. I don't get the DD hate in this thread!
