The fiance and I went to Selkirk Grille at Heritage Park for our anniversary dinner. It was wonderful and the service was fantastic. It's upper end but without the crowds you get at other upper end restaurants due to nobody knowing about it. Highly recommended.

Heh. Same here. Neither my wife nor I are at all fond of restaurant humiliation...and the few folks who insisted on it have found themselves no longer invited along to celebratory occasions that involve a restaurant.

well Dinner reservations have been confirmed for Rush, going to have a bottle of her fav white wine already chilling for when we get there, and they have made a custom dessert not on the menu just for her .... i would say this evening will hopefully go well and without any complications ... being that it is there new launch night i am expecting service and the food to be top notch!

seriously thought the Grizzly House in Banff do they really have a booth that encourages sex?? ( thoughts brewing )

They used to have phones at each table where you could call other tables. I think they are gone now.

I have been to Grizzly house a couple of times and the first time came away unimpressed, the second time my wife ended up getting violently ill.

The phones are truth. I heard they used to be a swingers bar. Can't speak to the veracity of the sex room claim as our night after the Grizzly house was filled with moaning of a different kind.

I've only ever been there once. The phones are true, the sex room seems likely.

The restaurant itself though is pretty gross. Everything in the entire place is coated in a veneer of grease.

I've had dinner at the private room before - it's more of a blocked off area as the top of the wall is still open to the rest of the restaurant. There's a flag that you raise and lower when you're ready for the waiter to bring the next course.

Stuff must happen in there because the waiter would always sheepishly knock before entering the room to see how we were doing.

Without knowing either one of you, I am guessing she is way out of your league. You've already done a horse and carriage and now the amount of effort you are putting in to this date is above and beyond what others do. I like your ambition!
