Scrivens holding the fort so far. Could be 2 or 3 nothing already.

They need a better looking woman to wrap that Canadian flag around in that ad. Good God.

These outdoor games look like they'd be extremely frustrating to play in with the crappy ice and everything.

I don't even have words that can adequately describe how much the Oilers don't deserve to win this one, but that stupid goal goes in.

The games itself have lost their luster. Outside of losing by 10, the broader appeal is to watch the constant losing, and then waiting for the ticking time bomb that is Lowe, Laforge, MacTavish and/or Eakins to speak out with some asinine comment with or lash out at some fan or outsider, or, blatantly pull the media onside to control and distribute their message.

Or, get quotes like last week, where Hall has no issue with selfishness in playing for himself and for his next contract as the season plays out.

That said, a couple wins going into the break should give the organization and coach some myopic confidence. Confidence that will be built up by the kool aid drinking media, and snowball into the "very real chance" that the Oilers can make the playoffs, by the end of the 3 week break.

Kevin Quinn got so excited when Hendricks had Brown on the ropes..........half a second later Brown gets the KO.

Kudos to Hendricks for getting up, he received 2 pretty big punches there.

Shots 20-7 for Sharks after 1 period, Oilers leading 1-0. Solid game plan by the Oil.

Corsi be damned, they've turned the corner.

I hope Katz thinks his denial of Lowe's sabbatical request was the turning point. Lifetime contract for Kevin.

The most shots by a team in one game in the 21st century is 61 by Toronto against the Islanders on Nov. 23, 2009.

So far the Sharks are projected to challenge for that record.

Clearly no changes are necessary. Something special has been completed.

And the media is starting to eat it up again as evidenced by the SN panel.

So did they just hoist that Olympic Hockey Gold Medal banner just for tonight's ceremony, or is Vancouver so desperate to lay claim to a champion that it is a permanent fixture at GM Place?
