January 29, just three games.
It was exactly four weeks ago that the first outdoor game happened.
The fourth outdoor game will be happening shortly at Yankee Stadium,
the second game in that venue in the last four days.
At 1730h
in the USA and simulacast
in Canada on and RDS2 in french
at
There will not be any delay due to sunshine. This should be
a great game for rivalry night between these true rival teams.
Commentators are Doc Emrick, Ed Olcyzk, and Pierre McGuire.
It is lame that TSN will not send its own crew down for the game.

This should be an entertaining game for the second half of the
TSN doubleheader. At least TSN is allowing three hours for the
first game, unlike yesterday. Commentators are Chris Cuthbert, Ray
Ferraro, and possibly Farhan Lalji. It is nice there are two feeds for this game.

Go Islanders.
The Oilers are going to finish last overall anyway, so I'm not going to bother to hope they get points.

No. I hope they finish dead last and don't win another game for the rest of the year.

I still believe. Go Oilers go! I believe you can fly!
I hope the Isles keep up their momentum...I would love to see them sneak into the playoffs.

Part of me wants the Oilers to play NHL-calibre hockey soon and pass the Flames in the standings. Then I feel really dirty and just can't handle hoping they win. I hope the Sharks slaughter them tonight.

Not sure how I feel about those skate blades they were just showing.
Can't wait until a guy blocks a shot in the playoffs, loses his blade, and then they get scored on because he couldn't skate.

I want them to play just good enough to fool themselves into staying the course. I've decided that watching the inevitable soul crushing implosions in November is funnier than all the summer trash is annoying and therefore worth it.

Unless they're playing Calgary, in which case the refs will blow the play dead and help the player to the bench

As the rule books states that play should NOT be blown dead in that circumstance. Did the NHL ever address this?

The NHL never points out ref mistakes.

9-2 the shots for SJS and not even halfway through the 1st.
The circus is here!
