Didn't really get a decent look while he was around but probably picked up a nice January paycheck. I look forward to hearing about more success in the A for now.

He can contribute more to the Heat than he could to the flames. I like this move for the heat. Means nothing to the flames.

Maybe I only catch him on his good games but I like Jonesy. Bigger than most of our forwards, plays a bit of a power game at times, has some skill and skating. I've seen more out of him most nights than Galiardi.
Won't be the biggest loss if he's claimed but I hope he passes through. He was really good for the Heat and we could use him later this year if guys like Cammalleri are dealt.

I think he's pretty useful as well but it seems he never got himself into Hartley's good books and will always be the odd man out when the roster is healthy.

I like these lines.
There was a moment where Colborne used his body last night defensively against the boards and got the puck really easy. It opened my eyes up to what that kid could do if he starts putting on some mass and playing with a bit more vigor.

Organization needs to ship him off to Gary Roberts for strength training in offseason, he'd come back a force of nature.

I forget who he was matched up against, but they had the puck and he just strolled over and beasted them out of the way, then casually skated the puck out.
It was sweet.

So now Monahan will have to do all the corner work to set up Cammalleri for his one timer into the glass. I wish he had left Colborne with Monahan. As far as I am concerned the quicker the Flames trade Cammalleri the better.

Interesting that Jones can't stick. Doesn't seem to be an on-ice thing unless he's not doing something the coaches are telling him to do. Off ice? Attitude? Work ethic in practice? Curious.
Echoing those who think Galiardi has been better lately. I thought he really hustled last night and moved the puck north.

at this point, I'd be happy if the Flames resigned Jones.... Galiardi seems to be playing well with Monahan, leave them together and see if we can keep some chemistry between them...one is from Calgary and the other is the future of Calgary

I really like Hartley but i hate when he sticks Colborne on the 4th line, he is too good for that. If anything i would rather let Galiardi play a little center between our two behemoths and keep Colborne on the wing with Cammy & Mony

Galiardi has played center before, no? I would also prefer that. Colborne has looked good playing with Monahan.

Only if you're the Oilers.

Agreed that Colborne should stick on the wing for a while, playing great there. If it's not broken don't fix it

The way he was playing prior to the injury, this may not be such good news...

This always happens. Team starts to put up a nice little win streak. Guy comes back from injury and kills the mojo. Book it.

Agreed, that nice line combo of Galiardi-Monahan-Colborne has been broken up. Not sure I like that. Cammalleri is not a very useful player for us. He's better suited on a team surrounded by talent that can get him the puck.
