Not what I was saying, and neither do I.

Just think ~50 games into his first season is a little early to write Berra off just yet

Just love the winger combo of Bouma and D. Jones. Two bigger guys, with grit that can skate pretty well and create some havoc on the fore check.

Stajan with them tonight, but I can see that combo working with Backlund or Monahan as well.

Berra's stats still better than Kiprusoff's last year. He has a bad game, he's been our second best goalie, but he is still better than anyone else in the AHL.

No way should he be sent down- that's an overreaction to a bad game tonight.

Especially on a weak team that tends to hang their goalies out to dry.

I still think Berra has a chance to be good. You can teach positioning and calm confidence comes with experience. You can't teach talent or reflexes.

Not worth writing him off, but he has proven to be a bit behind the NHL calibre we expect of goalies. Some seasoning in the AHL might help him next year but let him finish the year as ramo's backup.

Well if Berra is going to stay in the NHL, he needs to play much fewer games, like 1 in 5, and let Ramo take the bulk of the games.

Hopefully the Flames can end this in regulation. Don't like our chances whatsoever against Toews and Kane in OT. Those guys will eat us alive with all that ice to work with.

I don't mind how they're doing the split right now to be honest. And Ramo is earning his place for sure. I actually like both of our goalies right now, both seem to have potential. I don't really get the impression that our biggest issue is goaltending (most nights).

That's the thing. I think constantly showing that he's getting over excited / emotional in games through his abandonment of proper technique is a sign of his persona. I don't think you can teach him to just tune that side of him out. Either you've got that "lack of pulse" (kipper term) where you can maintain complete focus most nights, or you don't. It's kind of part of the psyche of the athlete.
