Backlund saves a goal as well. Can we make a new kind of hat trick where saving a goal is part of it?

Yeah, didn't see what else Berra could've done on the 4th goal.

Chicago has completely taken over the game. I guess it's to be expected for a superstar talent-laden team like the Hawks, but man, it's painful to watch the Flames crap the bed every time they have a lead.

Not be literally 10 feet out of his net?

Team defense hasn't been a strong point tonight, but I can pin the 3rd goal directly on Berra, and the 1st and 4th goals would have been prevented by Ramo (covering the short side, and terrible rebound).
I just don't think you can give a goalie a pass when he lets in 4 goals in 2 periods.

Berra has not been good, however, not a chance that goal had anything to do with him.
Brodie gave it away at attacking blueline and was awful in front of the net. Watch it.

Everyone needs to remember that Berra is a rookie.
IMO, it's more important to find a young goalie who has raw skills. Over time, consistency can be coached into his game.
I'd sign him to one more year just to see if he can pull it together.

When a goalie gives up a bad rebound because he was the only one playing defense, and then he somehow managed to make an additional save, anything that comes afterward is not on the goalie.
