Speaking of JG, I have been trying to figure out what kind of lettering they use so I can get Gaudreau on my jersey.. anyone have any idea what the font is called? It seems to be universal across all of their sports.
Google hasn't been a big help yet.
I think they need a new font for him.
The "Fah King Incredible" Font.

Johnny Gaudreau owns college hockey's longest point streak, having notched at least one point in his last 19 outings. Over the course of his scoring streak, which started on Nov. 1, the Carneys Point, N.J., native has accounted for 40 points (18-22-40).
Quote:
Boston College is tied for the nation's longest unbeaten streak. The Eagles have not lost since the Holy Cross contest on Nov. 29, assembling a 10-game unbeaten stretch of 9-0-1. No. 1 Minnesota also owns an unbeaten streak of 10 games (8-0-2).
Quote:
he forward line of Johnny Gaudreau - Bill Arnold - Kevin Hayes upped their 10-game total of playing as a line together to 60 cumulative points. With Hayes' goal and Gaudreau's assist, the line has produced 23 goals and 37 assists with a combined +49 plus/minus rating.
Man I just can't wait to watch this kid play some hockey in Calgary! Clearly the NHL is a completely different beast, but i think he will still be an entertaining player to watch. Even if he needs a year in Abbotsford ill be making some trips out to Abby a few more times this year.
If Johnny signs and plays a year in Abby I will be a regular at the weekend games! I hate taking the ferry over from Vic, but he would be worth watching for sure. Kind of selfish but I hope he takes a year in abby to mature. Saying this I hope the big man on the royals joins him!
I was thinking about Johnny turning pro and playing higher competition after this college season and it also got me to think about the world championships in Minsk in May.
Honestly I can't say that I follow the worlds that much, especially not foreign teams, so I wondered what kind of roster the Americans sent. Looking at the forward roster they sent last year I think there definitely might be room:
Danny Kristo......5' 11"...188 lbs.
Stephen Gionta...5' 7".....185 lbs.
Bobby Butler.......6' 0".....185 lbs.
Craig Smith.........6' 1".....197 lbs.
Aaron Palushaj...5' 11"....190 lbs.
David Moss.........6' 3".....200 lbs.
Tim Stapleton.....5' 9".....180 lbs.
Ryan Carter........6' 2".....200 lbs.
Drew LeBlanc......6' 0".....195 lbs.
Paul Stastny.......6' 0".....205 lbs
Nick Bjugstad...... 6' 6".....215 lbs.
Alex Galchenyuk...6' 1".....198 lbs.
Nate Thompson....6' 0".....206 lbs.
T. J. Oshie.........5' 11".....194 lbs.
Abby could use some superstar material like Gaudreau to help up their attendance numbers.
I don't think short of busing people from out of province, I don't see the number ever going up (unless they come out with a schedule playing the comets 80 times).
He's entertaining enough that Boston fans and residents have taken quite the notice of him to get a following over there, despite being a Flames prospect. I just figure that perhaps over a season (if that's what is to happen) in Abby we might see some of the same. Then again, it's near Vancouver, and Canuckers are so self obsessed, we shouldn't really expect them to show up to any game associated with the Flames, despite the quality of hockey that may be seen.
Funny enough, with the inevitable decline of the Canucks, in the next couple years, Abby may eventually come to possess the better quality of on ice product.

Would you go to a Canucks AHL game to watch Bo Horvat play?
I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere but would Calgary be able to support an AHL team? That would be awesome.
It has been discussed and I would say it would be extremely doubtful.
There is already NHL, WHL, AJHL, College and CIS hockey. Add in the Roughnecks and Stamps and the hockey/sports market is pretty full and meets the needs of about every segment of the community.
AHL games were poorly attended as one offs and even on this site the Heat get a passing interest from a vast majority of fans.
Also hard to see much advantage/use corporate people would get from supporting the Heat.
