I'm pretty sure the Kings jersey gave it away...

I don't remember them wearing a kings jersey at the heritage classic.

I mean technically, because someone said KISS sounded like #### because of the environment. That band sounded just fine, they just have terrible music.

No, I said Kiss sounded good considering.

Perhaps the other band just plays very undemanding music. I missed them.

At least the basist was kind enough to throw a Flames heritage touque on.

Ah ok, I don't disagree then! I think KISS would sound terrible these days in their most ideal environment possible. Just way past their due date.

In a stadium that size, you need your amps that go to 11. Obviously KISS forgot them.

Not sure how much he would help though. How much of their scoring woes is systemic and how much is because of talent?

Carter scored ~30+ goals for four years before coming to LA
Richards was a PPG player just a few years ago
Kopitar has been a PPG player in the recent past
Doughty has been a Norris finalist and is a force on offence

I get that Cammy would help, but probably not as much as one would think. All those offensive weapons and they can't score

All of these rock bands should be forced into retirement at 50. KISS is in their 60's for god's sake. Pack it in #######s, you're embarrassing.

I think on the scale of embarrassing it goes

Rolling Stones
KISS
... a ton of other bands.

Cammy is more of a sniper I'd say than any of those guys... Carter can score... but more of a power move kinda guy

Kiss sounded and looked horrible. They should have stayed home and rock and rolled all night long in their garage and partied like the rock stars all day tomorrow at their pool with Paul jumping off the diving board in his black sports bra.

Eh, I thought you guys were talking about the live performace a few minutes ago.

The 'go kings' in Calgary was kind of a dick move, but hey, he makes millions....what do I know.

Yeah, and the fact they dress up with make up makes it worse. A lot of bands get past their prime and can arrange their vocals different, dress and look dignified for their age and therefore put on a decent, honest show.

I mean, Bob Seger went back on tour and he didn't try to hide anything. He came out on stage in what most people his age would wear, and literally sat down on a stool in front of 13,000 people and just played to the best of his ability and it came off natural and awesome.

It's tougher for a band like KISS, where your whole existence and popularity is based on dressing up in make up and costume and every song is popular because it has anthemic, belted out choruses. There's no dignified way to keep that going when your body/voice starts aging.

True, but what difference does it make how they score, if in the end they score?

I think Lombardi will go after Cammy, but I just feel that a sutter coached team will always struggle to score regardless of offensive players added.

Having said that, your original point stands in that I can see why they'd want him, I'm just saying the payoff won't be what they hoped for

It was never dignified, or meant to be.

You guys are just upset about seeing Paul Stanley's nipples. Newsflash! Paul Stanley's nipples have always been outrageous!

Bob Seger... I shake my head at you.
