Brodie gets the helmet. Well deserved.

The victory, Reto Berra's SSJ status, D.Jones being a bad motherf*****, Backlund's maturation as a leader, and other things are discussed. Typing is tiresome.

What a comeback! Can't believe Nyzerman scored FOUR and Trotz didn't put him in the skills competition. Always liked that cat, but glad he was on the losing end of this one.

And not a second in O.T? Trotz is an idiot. A good coach but that's absurd.

Two goal night for David Jones. He hadn't scored since November 29, in Anaheim, which was also a two goal night. 17 games played between goals. Now 3 points in the last two games after being off the scoresheet for over a month.

Now, Galiardi just needs to bury one.

Can't believe that I missed this game. Glad to see money get the shootout winner. Way to go Brodie, Backlund. As has already been mentioned, it seems like this team plays way better with Russell in the lineup.

I ordered a TJ Brodie jersey from NHL.com back in November. UPS showed up at my door with it at exactly 7:00 tonight. Brodie proceeds to have his best game all year...

I guess all I can say is, "You're welcome!"

Wow it took that long? Jersey I ordered on Boxing day came 3 days ago and I thought that was a ridiculous wait

Call it superstitious mumbo jumbo but the hockey gods smile on teams that play with pride and don't intentionally tank. Case and point ... Monahan and the Oilers. Love the win and Burke, re-sign Russell now!!

What a game! Really shows the value in fast, puck-moving defencemen that play hard in all 3 zones... Can't think of a better guy than giordano to lead the way with Brodie and Russell following his example.
