Looking to go to the Super Bowl
Trying to figure out the most affordable way to snag tickets... Looking for some advice from people who have been in a similar situation, if nothing else how much might I expect ticket prices to go down before the big event. Appreciate any advice you can give me...

The best way would to go beast mode and rush past security.

I think the average resale price right now is $4,000 for a pair. Now that the teams are set though, I think the secondary market tickets will go fairly quick- "cheapest" ones first obviously. Have never read or heard anything on what typically happens to the last minute ticket prices.

To me the words Super Bowl, New York City and affordable don't really go together very well.....but if you are a 1%er, then that is a different story......

Not just the tickets, the already expensive NY hotels will be even more expensive for that weekend. But it'll be a trip of a lifetime particularly if you team is there. If I could go, I would just like to soak up the atmospehre in NYC and not go to the game. Spening $2K sitting on the nose bleed bleacher is not my idea of fun.

Luxury boxes going for at least $500,000 (they cost $350,000 for a full season of Jets or Giants), some upwards of $1 million

Unless you're a corporate big wig, or are giving tickets someway, good luck.
This is especially the case since it's in New York. Peasants don't get to go to the Super Bowl.

unless Hunter S. Thompson gives you the tickets.
When SB was in AZ a couple of years ago, someone was telling me that a girl at their work and her husband, bought season tickets, and then sold all the regular season tix online and then went to SB.

When the SB was in Arizona, having Cardinals STs for 2 years gave you a slim chance at SB tickets. Something like 1 in 12 or 1 in 20. That year was great for buying tickets from sellers; the guy I bought from said he had bought several dozen pairs, and was selling them at STH cost (or sometimes below) to get SB tickets.

Why is everyone saying that the superbowl is in NYC? It's not even in that state!

Almost always, tickets are cheapest on gameday in the parking. Not too many people go to ny, intend to go to the game and don't have tickets. Which makes that very idea the best one.

Well, has anyone here actually BEEN to a Superbowl?
Hoping to attend the 2017 one in Houston. Any tips or suggestions?
