the thing is i trust CP and the servers that host it. i do NOT trust the ad servers that are downloading content to my PC that i didn't request. there are so many malware infections that get hidden in banner ads that i just ban them all, no exceptions

That's a good point too. Plus the ad serving companies are collecting information about your browsing that you didn't neccesarily consent to, on terms of service that differ from the original site visited.

I white list sites I regularly visit (as long as they don't have noisy flash ads or adservers that delay the loading of the page).

Other add-ons I use are (with Chrome, but I used most with Firefox, too):
Gestures,
ForecastFox
Evernote Web Clipper
goo.gle URL shortner
Mail Checker Plus for Gmail.

ok for chrome users when i make a spelling error, in firefox i used to be able to hit the right click shift key on the right hand of my keyboard... the one in between control and the windows key.

That one.

And I could correct the spelling mistake without using a mouse. In Chrome, that key brings up a different menu with no spell check. What up with that? Can I change that?

I just did exactly what you said in chrome, and it is exactly what you said happens in firefox, and I've done nothing special to my chrome in regards to that. But it has to have the red line for a spelling mistake under it...

When downloading torrents Im finding these torrent files in my downloads directory, and I have chrome set to "auto open". Is there a way to not save these files locally when you open them?

Use magnet links or get your client to delete the torrent when the download is done.

how chrome can be so good and fast, but not allow you to auto delete files you open without saving is beyond me. firefox and IE have this, why chrome doesnt makes no sense.

it's missing a ton of options that other browsers have, i guess Google is marketing it as a barebones browser that's light and fast with no frills

Could also be a security thing.

I could see tht running files directly would make it harder to secure the sandbox

I really want to use chrome and stick with it but Chrome acts too funny for a lot of sites I frequent (gametable, I hate how it handles torrents). I can seeing using both as a really good option tho. Whenever I'm at work and want to browse the internet it's nice to have all my stuff to the cloud. Firefox sync is kind of worthless tho because it doesn't act like a true cloud sync.
