No, stop saying hi. There is no hi. You can provide an example of a counterargument without having said counterargument say hi.

Now. I presume I am going to be mocked following this post with somebody saying hi, proceed.

Riiight, cause you're such a baller right? Is the cashier at Safeway impressed when you open your wallet with all your hundreds and then give her your phone number for your rewards, secretly hoping she calls you?

it grinds my gears when the guy at walmart was putting his god damn penis away walking away from the urinal. typically i put away my johnson before i go wash my hands and walk away from the urinal

the guy wasnt even phased when he saw me walk in either. he didnt duck away or cower or excuse himself. nope. just strutted on by with his tiny little dong hanging out like everything was cool and nothing out of the ordinary was happening, while fumbling with the damn thing putting it back in his jeans. oh and he forgot to wash his hands too but , when being a total pig why stop at just showing your junk off?

Yeah...hilarious. Like when I drive, I bring my drivers license. Not sure what part of my statement you are not getting.

Competence - the ability to do something successfully or efficiently.

Like it's really hard to have the few cards you need when you are out. The cashier takes a second to swipe the card. Meanwhile 'Joe I can't remember to bring my card" has to tell the cashier his phone number and she/he has to type it in. I can't count how many times the phone number was wrong or the cashier typed it in wrong.

Just bring your damn card.

WRGMG is when restaurants give every diner a food menu but only one wine/cocktail list for the table. Then the server comes back three minutes later and asks for your drink order before most of your party has even seen the list.

Can somebody who has worked in the dining industry explain why this is the accepted practice?

I think it's much more efficient giving a phone number. I can't count how many times i've waited for someone to dig through a wallet or purse looking for the appropriate card. it really doesn't gmg though.

What happens when you have multiple cards? Those turds who have to fumble through their stack of cards to get the right one are the picture of incompetence. Or the card doesn't scan unless it's wrapped in plastic. When I step up and selectively pull the correct phone number out of my brain, the cashier girl always gives me that little nod, where she is acknowledging how competent I am.

Can somebody who has worked in the dining industry explain why this is the accepted practice?

TL;DR version, menus are expensive and we find most people know what they want to drink the moment they sit down
