I love Sven to death but I would certainly entertain the idea of moving him for Toffoli. Positionally a better fit for the Flames.

Outside of that, if the Kings were to acquire Cammy, I'd hope a prospect like Zykov came back (Had hoped the Flames would have picked him with the Klimchuk pick until they picked Klimchuk) with a pick. I feel there are a few gems to steal in the second round this draft.

Mind you, getting another first would be nice as well as adding someone like Goldobin wouldnt be the worst thing in the world to do either.

Heard lots of grumbling around the tigers that they are happy he isn't there and that he is quite the selfish player and not a good teammate.
Yup. Everything about this kid says a Canadian Filatov/Radulov/Kabanov. I don't see an NHL career.

I bet the amount of rumours to actual trades ratio is 1000/1.

Just because it's out there and doesn't happen, doesn't mean it's not out there.

There's a huge gulf between Eklund and Garrioch. They aren't even close. One guy actually breaks significant league news.

Yeah, I think Cammalleri would look great in LA and perhaps exactly what they need on the 2nd line with Richards and Williams. I think Sutter rotates Frattin / King / Clifford on that 2nd line and Cammalleri would make the Top 6 much more dangerous.

Too bad they have zero cap space.

He doesn't have the offense that I thought he may be able to develop and wouldn't be the key part of the deal but I would love to get Clifford if we could.

I remember when the Kings had a bunch of guys they had to qualify they was a lot of talk about him being in a tough spot where he makes almost too much for the Kings, but not nearly enough to let him go for the compensation.

With Nolan and King there plus guys like Greene, Regehr, Muzzin, Richards, Fraser, Carter, Mitchell all able to handle themselves in fights or play a physical game I think Clifford could be a guy that would be available.

I wouldn't move Sveb for Toffoli yet. I think Sven still has higher upside

Cammalleri can't compete physically in the Western Conference in playoffs. He's better suited for the East. The Kings would be much better off getting Moulson out of Buffalo to take a LW spot on the top two lines. Cammy didn't exactly leave the Kings on good terms, that would be a weird deal. He's a better fit for Detroit.

I'm not sure I agree with that.

His two best seasons in his career have been in the Western Conference (82 points with Calgary and 80 points with the Kings).

His worst seasons in fact, have been in the east.

I wouldn't mind Cammy on the Canucks but I don't think he's on their short list of targets

don't think he would struggle in the West either

I think inter-division it would cost too much, and I think Ott is a better fit, I am guessing he's the one they go hard at

I'm sure Cammy could put up some points playing with the sedins. Can't see him going there though. Their first is intriguing if they miss the playoffs though.

Hasn't Gillis stated he won't mortgage the future anymore for deadline pickups? I get the feeling when he shakes the team up it will be a hockey trade and not a pick for pending UFA deal.

I get the feeling Cammy will not be traded to any of the 3 teams Garrioch listed

Yeah after last nights fiasco, I don't see any way Van or CGY ever come together on a trade. Ever.

its been reported he wouldn't move the 1st or any of the top end prospects for a rental

but if it was someone they thought they could re-sign (they will have a good amount of cap space) I think the 1st could be in play

Lebrun had a rumor they were interested in ROR last week, that's the type of deal where I think the 1st/prospects would be in play, same with something like Kane

but not for a 30+ vet, they would want a long term fit

my guess for Cammy is Pitt

Yeah, I don't see the Canucks going for big name rentals. They're not close enough to being a contender to make it worthwhile and they don't really have any cap space.

I'd move Sven in a heart beat for Toffoli.

I still think there is a larger trade to be made with ducks. Cammalleri for their late first.

I've been suggesting this all season, it just makes a lot of sense IMO.

They have a big team, or a lot of "beef" to surround Cammy with.
He's lived in LA before. (Might still have a place there?)
Anaheim is obviously a contender, and should be looking to add.
They have cap space this season to add.
They have cap space next season to look at extending him if he's a fit.
They have TWO first round picks to play with.
They have a plethora of excellent prospects like:

Forwards - Etem, Friberg, Noesen, Rakell, Smith-Pelly
D-men - Vatanen, Theodore, Blacker
Goalies - Andersen, Gibson, Bobkov

Plus, Burke has history with that franchise and what I assume would be a good working relationship with their GM.
