A rather violent fight. I didn't see how it started, but I did see the guy fly across six seats to get at whoever he was trying to pummel. Security had a hell of a time controlling him until CPS showed up. Only arrest, near as I could tell.

McGrattan skated by during the TV time out, noticed what was happening, and just kept skating back and forth, watching what was happening.

So were they mopping the stairs afterwards because of beer or blood? I was sitting too far away to tell, but there was quite a commotion for a bit.

Making it to the end of the 2nd makes you a diehard fan. I changed the channel 15 minutes into the game after realizing how boring it was. I can stand bad, but boring and bad is too much. I played videogames instead and don't regret it

I could tell something was brewing about 5 minutes beforehand, and we were sitting really far on the other side. Looked like that one girl fell down 4 flights of stairs. Could tell that d bag was going to escalate things. Unimpressed with the way staff handled the issue, and had 2 police laugh and tip their hats when the people near us pointed it out.

Best part of the fights in the stands is that Peter and Loubo pretty much started calling them, with brief interjections of what was happening on the ice. Loubo was even adding some colour commentary ! Says something about the on-ice product though...

Anyways was excited about Ramo and Berra making strides but this is obviously a setback for Berra. Doesn't help that most of the rest of the team decided to take the night off as well though. Bad effort all round.

Hope we can bounce back.

Who cares. Sven is in the minors because the Flames feel it is better for his development. With Sven in the line-up the Flames might be the 27th best team in the NHL instead of the 28th best team.

Why does Berra always start the games with the 3rd jerseys?

Not like it keeps working out.

As for some of the comments by Calgarians on this forum towards me and my city, well, it's to be expected. You can't come up with constructive arguments that have to do with hockey, so you resort to childish insults in other areas to make yourselves feel better. That just shows the frustration level you guys are feeling about your team. It's understandable. Oh well, c'est la vie je suppose, eh?

Anyways, looking forward to the next beat-down we lay on the Flamers the next time we meet, and all the childish insults by SOME of you Flamers.

Have a great night, no hard feelings, and GO JETS GO!!!!!!!!
You and 90+ percent of "Jets" fans are bandwagoners.

If you were a real fan you would cheer for the Coyotes.

the only reason berra plays is so the flames can keep pace with Edmonton. You look at his body language and he looks so defeated.

Pretty much anyone on the Heat would be a better winger than Westgarth. There's players down there much more deserving of a call-up than Sven at this point.

Seems he was. According to a friend who was in that section, Jets fan was being a loudmouth all night long. The fight started when he started cursing and someone else told him to shut the hell up. Jets fan then basically hurtled over other people in the stands to get at the guy and start throwing punches. Even other Jets fans thought he was an a-hole.

We'd probably be better if our two best forwards were in the lineup.

Injuries have probably helped this rebuild along by getting us a better draft position, and opening spots for bubble players to show they bring nothing to the table.

That's better than Edm and Wpg whose "talent" is healthy but teams still suck bung.

First game I have ever turned off before being finished. Told the wife after the second we might as well watch something on the PVR. Just not into another crappy game. Saturday should be fun. I know this is what was supposed to happen this year, but it's hard to watch at times.

terrible game
Jets fans easily drowned out Flames fans
4th row 200s, all seats around us empty until about 15 min into the game
place started emptying out with 10 min left

brutal hockey, I am embarrassed to take clients to these games

I think you can rebuild while playing entertaining hockey. This is torture porn.

I counted 4 security and 2 (maybe more) CPS.

My guest said there was a Flames fan escorted first, then the Jets fan who went all MMA took forever to cuff and remove.

It was a first couple of rows rumble - have never seen that before. Last time was up high (NYR, 2011 I think).
