There are a lot more examples of crap teams drafting high and staying crap teams. But if you think one of those guys are Crosby or Ovie then fair enough.

I'm almost ashamed to say this, but I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever left a game after the second period... That was some of the worst hockey I have ever witnessed in my life.

Wideman turns over the puck A LOT. Like Taylor Hall turnover bad... Nobody was moving their feet at all, it was painful to watch.

I wouldn't expect many teams to win games where their goaltender lets in 4 goals on 15 shots (after two periods). I'm not blaming the loss solely on him, but Berra needs to be better.

No doubt the Jets need some top-end talent to really compete in the Western Conference. They've drafted pretty well so far, so it may come from within the system. I don't think the situation is as dire as you believe.
Ladd, Litttle, Wheeler, Buff, Enstrom are closing in on 30 in the next 1-3 years. Kane, Schiefele, Bogo, Trouba are still quite young though. I don't see this current core maturing to be a top team anytime soon

Ah. I think we have a different definition of depth. Separate debate. Carry on. My bad.

As for some of the comments by Calgarians on this forum towards me and my city, well, it's to be expected. You can't come up with constructive arguments that have to do with hockey, so you resort to childish insults in other areas to make yourselves feel better. That just shows the frustration level you guys are feeling about your team. It's understandable. Oh well, c'est la vie je suppose, eh?

Anyways, looking forward to the next beat-down we lay on the Flamers the next time we meet, and all the childish insults by SOME of you Flamers.

Have a great night, no hard feelings, and GO JETS GO!!!!!!!!

Come to Flames board to cheer on opposing team - don't get why dey heff to be mad.

I'm not surprised someone had a response to that. Call me a fair weather fan, I really don't care. Anybody at the game would know just how hard that was to watch. It was disgraceful!

There was tons of people leaving after the second period for the record, and when the people I'm at the game with wanted to leave, they weren't about to get much of an argument from me after watching 40 minutes of that ****.

The irony is that you missed a very entertaining third period. Both in the stands and on the ice.

You can't tell me that Westgarth is a better choice for Monahan's winger than Baertschi.

Fair enough. Like I said though, it was a first and hopefully a last. I don't go to games to watch fights in the stands though, so that has next to nothing to do with my decision.

What happened there? Why'd he get arrested?

McGrattan looks jealous.

Just making fun of your screen name, brother. You can spend your money how you like. I wasn't exactly glued to my TV either.

Would have been a good insult if your team had a winning record. Nice try though

The day I sign up on another team's message board to talk trash is the day I check myself into an institution. Do you not realize how pathetic this is?
