As a man (or at least I call myself one) I would just refuse to interact with this individual on the basis that I do not support inequality.

Because the women aren't forced into those sections.

I agree...but that person may have moved it to a legal avenue suggesting "his rights" were trampled on.
Its a fine line here, at times I also think, just leave it alone and itll go away, at others, I think we need to broadcast the silliness that this represents. It is simply ludicrous that a man ask to be separated because his "religion" suggests he cannot be in the accompaniment of women in these cases.
This repressed religion causes sexual issues amongst the male population as stats have proven over and over.
Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for “gay man.” The countries that most search for this is currently Malaysia (#1) and Indonesia (#2). For “gay girl,” Arabic is also the 2nd most common language.
For “child porn,” Turkey is the 2nd country where this is most searched. Turkish is the #1 language used.
Turkey has one of the most searches for the word “porno.” Morocco is at 5. Turkish is #1 language used to conduct the search in. Indonesia is currently #1 country that search for the word “vagina.”
Egypt is currently #1 for “fat sex.”
Pakistan, Morocco, Turkey and Egypt are at the top of the list when it comes to “animal sex.”
For “children sex,” Pakistan is at #1, Egypt #2 and Iran #3. The most common languages used to conduct the search in are Arabic and Turkish.
For “sexy children,” these results are probably the most disturbing. Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, followed by Turkey at #9.
For “sexy child,” Pakistan is #1, followed by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey. Common languages are Persian, Arabic, and Turkish.
For “homo sex,” Indonesia is #1, Morocco is at 6.
For “rape,” Pakistan is at 1. Malaysia is at 3.
For “bird sex,” Egypt is at 1. (Come ON!)
For “ass sex,” Saudi Arabia comes first, followed directly by Egypt and Morocco. Most common language is Arabic.[3]

The problem with saying to him, you can't take the class if you can't live up to the rules is that there is a good chance that the person, man in this case files a human rights case with the local tribunal, and the human rights tribunal being the shining beacon of rational thought that they are finds in favor of this guy and sets a precedence.
You can't just tell him to leave the class because then your following the social issue of exclusion due to your religious beliefs, and since this is the suppossed root cause of crime, terrorism, mouth warts, male pattern balding and everything else wrong in the world that happens to an individual, that won't be allowed.
If all the girls sign a petition saying, hey we count too, tell the guy to gtfo, then it becomes bullying, the fact that this story is electronic and called out this guy its become cyber bullying.
This guy was joining a co-ed class and then asserting his religious freedom to make a political statement and nothing more. I'm sure there were a lot of men's only classes available, but he wanted more then just training in a deadly martial art where there are 49 techniques that will cause instant death, but I will only teach you 48 because I might need to use the 49th on you later. He wanted to make a point and force that challenge.
Are we going to need to force people to sign contracts or waivers that say that you will be interaction with woman, or homosexuals or amorous wildlife, so understand this before you sign up and sign this so that you can't come back later and disrupt the class becasue you are now educated?
Tough one, that's why I prefer my training to involve hitting people with 2x4's and ring bells. Its simpler that way and I doubt that two many girls want to join my class.

These are not MY stats. I just posted what was there. The fact they are trying to get across I would think is that Gay people in those countries are likely repressed.

I think your statement of "sexual issues" followed by the statistics was pretty poorly worded though and kind of intones that homosexuality is deviant behavior (and not just in the listed countries).

Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world but we probably get poor data out of China so we can assume that isn't counted.
Spanish, English, Hindi, and Arabic are the 2-5 most spoken languages with 407, 359, 311, 293 million people. So who is number one? Isn't this mostly a function of there being a lot of arabic speaking people?
Also how are these searches counted. Does it combine all of the different slang or just the precise words. In english we have far more slang so idividual words might not be as high but the overall searches for the object in question would be just as high. I would assume that the methodolgy of this counting is just picking out specific words and therefore ignores most linguistic differences.
Its clear that these stats are designed to prove a specific point and not neccesarily present an real picture of searchs in the world.

I really don't understand how it's a "tough one" at all. The guy obviously joins a class to make some sort of statement. Gets told to adhere to the rules or get out. He joined the class voluntarily, no one forced him in there. And now he thinks this new class should be changing the rules for him based on his chosen belief system. I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous.
But maybe I'm just to full of rationality and common sense for this type of thing to make sense to me. Is there still room on Mars 1?

Yet men are prevented from using that section because they don't want to interact with men. I don't see what the difference is. Women who utilize the women's only section do so perhaps because they feel uncomfortable working out around men. This guy does not feel comfortable coming into physical contact with women due to religious reasons. If a male only class is not available, I don't see how his request is any less reasonable than a female only section of a gym.
Ultimately though, I think it should be up to the private establishment to determine what a reasonable accommodation is and if it is worth implementing.

Listen...you can try to make any point you want by breaking the stats into any variant you want to create from them. IF you look at the references listed at the bottom of that link Im sure you will find they used all languages, INCLUDING Mandarin. Im quite sure the Chinese are no saints, but that is NOT the point here and I am not tryin to pick specifically on Muslims or Homosexuals LOL.
Im waiting for the Bird and Goat ####ers to jump on me now LOL.
