Sat for two on which play? He didn't deserve 2 minutes for anything in the Sestito melee. You see attempted hits like that all the time so I don't think he deserved 2 on that play either.

He made like $9k to play one second of hockey, what a life.
Never liked Sestito, hate him more cause he's on the Cansucks.

Sesito is a clown. Nolan didn't even really hit Sedin, just clipped him a little bit because Sedin was scared and turned away from the hit. I think the only contact was maybe between the legs of the players and of course Sedin acts like he was just crushed. Pathetic, not surprised though considering it's shamecouver.

I have no problem at all with what Sestito did.
Nolan ran one of the Canucks star players, with his leg out. (Kerry Fraser would have penalized Nolan for the charge. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=441180) Nolan's done it before.
Nolan should have expected what was coming to him and answered the bell.
Instead, Nolan turtled like Claude Lemieux.
Sestito played by the Code.
Nolan didn't.

Wouldn't have been a problem if Nolan dropped the gloves, but you don't keep beating on someone that isn't fighting back.

He clips him with his leg that he stuck out after he realized he wasn't going to connect with the hit. It's a penalty. It's not a suspension, it's not a major but it is a two minute minor.

Nolan should have got a charging penalty. First, because it was a charge, even if there wasn't full body contact, and second, for game management purposes - to prevent the game from continuing down its path into stupidity. The refs later started handing out misconducts for no reason but it didn't accomplish much because it was basically random.
Nolan should also have fought Sestito, because that's what you do when you're a 4th line grinder who's just taken a run at the other team's captain and leading scorer. However, you can't really blame him for NOT doing this, because it gave his team a 7 minute power play (which actually ended up being 8 minutes or so, with 48 seconds of 5 on 3).
The funny thing is that this is the kind of stuff the Canucks used to do all the time under Vigneault: turtle, turn the other cheek when their opponents tried to push them around, and then get power plays. For doing so, they were basically called slimy and wimpy and girls. But hey, they were winning a lot of games. Now under Torts, they're doing the opposite... and are 1-6 in their last 7 going into NHL-leading Anaheim tonight.
Yeah... I think you guys were better off being the cowardly wimps...

Incidentally I really hate when Olbermann tries to talk about hockey. He's very insightful about baseball and can hold his own talking about football, but he admits to being ignorant about hockey, and doesn't like the sport. Just doesn't care for it. That's fine, but given that you recognize this about yourself, Keith, can you please keep your mouth shut on the subject?

If we still had the skill to do that, we probably would.

Not as good as a 1-second game, and not quite as many PIMs, but in tonight's game, Sestito got another 22 PIMs in 8mins 35secs, AND he had another 2-5-game misconduct combo...
49 PIMs in 2 games! Trying to change the Canuck's perception?

Not even as many minutes of ice as Anaheim's goals
Also exactly half as many PIMs as Anaheim's SOG.

Waaaaat?! Torts sent him out. I'm sure it made the coach feel good by flexing his muscle. He also got rid of his worst player and didn't have to play him for the rest of the night.

I noticed from the penalties it was Jackman that he fought last night. Did anyone happen to see the fight? Curious how Jackman faired.
