Well, I would say that it was crybaby like to post that article, call the Seahawks DB's "cheaters" and "disrespectful" and compare me to a Canucks/Roughriders fan. I could also say that the 49ers fans are the Edmonton Oiler fans of the NFL, constantly referring to past accomplishments that will having no bearing on the outcome of the game next Sunday.
Seattle over New England for their first Super Bowl after 37 years in the NFL.
Fun Fact: It took the Whiners 35 years to win their first Super Bowl, but their fans would have you think that San Francisco came into the league in 1946 with 5 Lombardis already in hand!

You make a post ripping 49er fans, yet somehow don't throw in a stabbing reference. Disappointing.

There is a tendency to over-rate the NFC. IIRC, the AFC crushed the NFC head-to-head this year, and an above average Ravens team handled the Niners in the Super Bowl last year.
Seattle won't be invincible away from home.

The AFC started out well head-to-head this year but the NFC actually ended up with the slightly better record.

The 49ers and the Seahawks were both 3-1 vs the AFC this year. Both lost to the Colts while they were hot.
At least the Superbowl is going to match teams that haven't seen each other this season - that should leave plenty of room for NFC/AFC discussion.

Chris Harris tore his ACL vs the Chargers.
Other than Peyton Manning or Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie, I'm not sure there is an injury that could hurt the Broncos more than this one. Champ Bailey will have to step up big time this weekend. Once Harris went out of the game yesterday the Chargers passing attack took off.

BTW...what is with the pointing to the nameplate that Keenan Allen wants to do everytime he scores?
Huge turn off as a football fan.

Major difference between the two AFC and NFC teams? Defense. Both NFC teams are top 5 defenses; both AFC teams rank 19th or worse. New England in particular (30th ranked run defense) could be in for a beating in the Super Bowl.

only if you have the ball, you have to stop NE's run first.

Which the 49ers and Seahawks, both ranked in the top 10 against the run, will have no trouble doing (especially with the depleted New England receiving core). Even Denver ranks in the top 10 against the run. New England is the anamoly, easily the worst run defense left.

Jammer looked rusty as hell - now they either move Champ back out wide or see if Kayvon Webster is good to go.
For me, key to the game against the Pats is the run defence. If they can keep Blount shackled, even though Brady will still put up points in the air, it makes it easier to control the game and time in possession. Moreno and Ball will be key on offence - look for Denver to run the ball more, then for Manning to go to Julius Thomas and Welker for those short, safe passes. To beat New England, they need to control the ball and give Brady less time in possession, as you know, even if the defence was fully healthy, Brady will still find ways to put up points.
The over/under is 54.5 - I would take the over if I was betting. Think this could have a few scores in it

Any NFC West team needs to be good against the run. When the Rams went through their stumble and couldn't stop the run they got decimated. The winner in the NFC Championship game will have stopped either Gore or Lynch, so you know the winner will be ready for the run game.
It takes balance to beat either of those teams. Seahawks' secondary is so good they can load up the box. The 49ers run D is so good they can drop extra guys into coverage. If you can force either of those things to change you have a chance.
As a 49er fan, if forced to choose, I would rather play the Pats. The Bronco receiving weapons would worry me more than any run attack. Although with Belichick, he always seems to be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat.
I am guessing Seahawk fans would prefer playing the Broncos - that secondary should frustrate a passing attack and the hurting Broncos will have a task trying to stop Lynch and cover up for a depleted secondary.

It was funny watching last nights Denver vs San Diego game, it was like there was no emotion to it, unlike the earlier SF Panthers game that was on the edge of nasty and was a really interesting game to watch, especially when you look at the goal line stands.
I had trouble staying awake for the late game.
I love the 49'ers versus Seahawks matchup, I think that's a game that's going to turn nasty in a hurry.
I think however comes out of the Patriots Denver game is going to get eaten alive in the Superbowl.

Seahawks and Broncos actually blocked ticket sales outside of their area.
http://www.mercurynews.com/sports/ci...buying-tickets
It doesn't seem right to me that fans of the opponents team aren't even eligible to purchase tickets.

Seems fair to me! Who cares about the visiting team you want home field advantage. Seahawks weren't blocked in Canada though it was mostly just California who couldn't buy tickets

I don't think so, it wasn't written by a 49er player or staff member. It would be the equivalent of an article coming out about the Van Canucks diving, just good to see it finally getting some media attention. Any NFL fan would be happy to see it called out (as well as an article of diving in the NHL).
Haha 49ers have been to the NFL championship every year for the last three so not quite similar to Oilers living on past glory. And 5 Lombardis is impressive regardless, 2nd most in the league I believe (only behind Pittsburgh).
Should be a good match-up on Sunday, I just hope the Niners do the NFL a favour and eliminate the steroid/adderall using and clutching/grabbing puddle-pigeons.
Go Niners!

I'm sure there are tonnes of die-hard Broncos fans that don't live in those areas, that will now be forced to pay premiums on ticket scalping sites if they want to go to the game.

Fair enough, but the following is an example of 49er fan arrogance...

And as far as this "ticket scandal" goes...

I like it. I say good for them
They earned home field advantage through the playoffs and should get the benefit of their own crowd. Not the most politically correct move, but it's the right call as far as getting every small advantage they can.
