Not a good return for Gillies. He was 34 seconds away from his 4th shutout of the season, only to get scored on twice in less than a minute of playing time and a 2-1 OT loss.

No points for Jankowski or Gilmour.

Next game for the Friars, Friday night in Boston for the Johnny G vs Jon G (and John G) show.

Mark Divver @MarkDivver
Mentioned to Brian Burke last night that PC's Noel Acciari is his kind of player. His response: 'I've heard that. He plays the game mean.'

Acciari was invite to the prospect camp last summer

2 assists for Klimchuk so far. Regina is up 6-1 vs Red Deer late in the 3rd period

Culkin was scoreless and -1 in his Drummondville debut. The Voltigeurs lost 4-2 vs Rouyn-Noranda

Just curious what the thoughts are on Ramage and Wotherspoon 30ish games in..

Wotherspoon has 27 GP 1 G 6 A and a +6

Ramage has 32 GP 0 G 1 A and a +3

But how have they looked on the ice?

Yes I saw that but would like word from the org about where he's going to play?

The guy missed time because of a botched injection for ****'s sake. The circumstance is Oiler-esque.

RT @RogMillions: Patrick Sieloff says Staph infection has eased. He is working out now. Could not "sweat" for 8 weeks. Yikes. No timeline for skating.#Flames

RT @RogMillions: Sieloff adds the infection worked into his heart. Very serious side effects. Feels lucky to be getting better. Amazing #Flames

It happens. It's a fluke. Calm yourself.

Burke on all 3 providence prospects

http://www.providencejournal.com/spo...cess-story.ece
Quote:
On Mark Jankowski (2012 first round): “Jankowski has made a lot of progress since he came to PC. We feel that he’s still got some work to do, but he’s clearly a better player than he was a year ago. That’s what we’re looking for — progression. He’s physically stronger. He’s got to learn to play in some of the dirtier areas of the rink, but we think he can do that.”
On Jon Gillies (2012 third round): “I know there’s a lot of speculation that he’s going to be asked to turn pro after the season, but we have not in fact made any determination yet as to his status. I met with him (Monday) and told him that. We have not promised him that he’s being offered a contract at the end of the year. We’re going to wait and see how the rest of the year goes.”
On John Gilmour (2013 seventh round): “My first look at him was at Fenway Park. I thought he had a real good game. He’s an intelligent defenseman who plays hard. That’s a good combination. He’s a guy we’re going to leave here and watch. I’m very happy with my first viewing of him.”

Nothing to read between the lines there. Spot on observation by Burke. Getting to the dirtier areas of the rink like Burke said will come in time. He'll be just fine.

The battle of all the future Flames named Jo(h)n (and Bill and Mark) starts at 5:00 MT from a sold-out Kelley Rink at Boston College. It should be a good one.

I actually paid for the live stream of this one. I figure I'll get better value than I have for the last few Flames games.

Gaudreau scores early on Gillies. A bittersweet 15-game point streak.

Hey, guess who scored?

The Eagles get a nice cycle going on the PP and Gaudreau buries it. Gillies with no chance.

BC has controlled the play for most of the game so far. We're about halfway through the first.

Providence ties it despite BC controlling the play for most of the period.

Shortly after the goal, Arnold walks through about 3 Providence players and ends up taking a shot from his knees, which beats Gillies, but rings off the crossbar.

----------

1-1 at the end of one. Gillies with some good saves on a late BC PP. Gaudreau and Arnold were out for the whole 2 minutes, I believe.

Gilmour had a lot of ice time against Johnny and Billy, and Jankowski got some time on the PK at the end. I don't think all five Flames picks have been on the ice at the same time, but four have been a lot.

BC's goal came 2 seconds after a Gilmour penalty expired, so it was an ES goal, but Gilmour had no chance to get back into the play.

It's interesting to watch two teams who play such opposite styles. BC is all offense, and PC is very defensive with a few bursts up the ice.

Providence takes the lead. Jankowski with an assist. He made a nice first pass, then there was a quick second pass and nice goal. I believe it was a Providence PP that just ended.

Shortly after the goal, Gaudreau sends Arnold in alone tight, but Gillies throws out the leg to stop the shot. Nice plays all around by the Flames kids.

So far in the second, Jankowski has drawn one penalty and Gaudreau has drawn 2.

Eagles PP goal to tie it...Johnny to Billy. Good game for all the Flames kids so far. I hope Burke is still in the Boston area.
